I've realized that Bert and Tom let fame get to their heads. They (unlike the rogan model at the mothership) feel entitled to get laughs to stroke their ego. Joe isn't a fantastic comic in my opinion, but he understands the grind and what comedy really is about. Not everyone is a chappelle, attell or carlin. A comic needs to know their place and keep up on it. Tom and Bert are just Podcasters at this point. At Least Tom makes some good specials annually, even if he just flaunts his money. However people like Gillis and normand will always come out on top because they works constantly at it because they love the game.

He's ok, but I think almost all black comedians that are ok get pushed as if they are comedy gods. Not trying to be controversial but that is my honest take. It's obviously all races this happens to, but I think it's very common with black entertainers to be overestimated in comedy. Punkie clearly thinks her being on SNL puts her in the top tier with those other two guests, and her insecurity drove her to nag the new comedian she feels owes them something. Her ego will always take over because she's obviously not very funny, and telling someone to "show respect" is one of biggest examples of a fragile ego. Everyone seems to be overlooking the fact that *people paid good money* thinking they had tickets to go see Kill Tony, life is good. I cannot imagine the pain, the white hot anger watching not just Bart being introduced, but Whitney along with him. Not even Jim Norton is enough to redeem the seventh circle of hell being unleashed by these two being together on stage.

I first thought tom and joe were to cool for school on the 10 year as well, until i started realizing that it was a stadium show and the energy is much different. Imagine sitting in stage in front of 3000 people instead of the normal 200. Just like when you are hanging out in with 4 friends, youd act different if there was 40 at a school house party.

@@tuffturner3296 nah, Ric was a horrible choice for a guest, but at least that whole incident went down in infamy and created some hilarious inside jokes. He's a drunk old man from a completely different generation with an entirely skewed View of the world since he was essentially a bunch of kids childhood hero. I blame Tony for that. He didn't even clue him into the format before he had him on after a day of getting smashed on vodka cranberries..😅 Punky on the other hand, should know better, and not get overly serious on a comedy show, while simultaneously completely missing the context. She obviously isn't a fan of the show or she would have known that that's Williams entire stick. Berate the guests and pretend he doesn't know who they are or care. That s*** is hilarious. HE NEVAH GONNA STAAAHP!!!

Bert’s whole comedy routine requires you to follow every podcast and be invested in his family and personal affairs and care about it even though he’s just some guy you’ve never met and even then there’s no way what he says is actually that funny. I’m so sick of comedians talking about their family stories and kids or just preaching at me trying to get claps and cheats instead of laughs. Just make funny jokes about any topic and I’m happy. I just want comedy, not inside jokes like we’re buddies shooting the shit or political opinions like I’m supposed to cheat for you being woke/talking shit about one group of people while propping yours up

Most famous "comics" these days being unable to actually craft a narrative built on jokes, instead solely rely on talking about their lives. Comedy isn't talking about your life on a stage -- or else the only difference between a comedian and a narcissist would be that one is on stage.

@@bigmaryhelen The most famous comics in history have told stories about their own lives and turned it all into jokes. Carlin, Kinison, Pryor, Chapelle, Dangerfield, Foxworthy, ect.. All used stories from their lives as the basis for material. If you don't like Bert or Whitney thats fine but you can't attack the artform and then turn around and call yourself a fan.
