Gen 1 = Unbalanced and too OP Psychic type Gen 2 = Level progression is bad. Gen 3 = Too many content locked behind event exclusive stuff. Pokedex completion is hell. Gen 4 = slow asf Gen 5 = Most Pokemon designs are Kanto inspired Gen 6 = Too easy even with Exp share turned off Gen 7 = cutscenes too an eternity Gen 8 = Dynamax/Gigantamax us ridiculously broken. Especially in ranked. Gen 9 = overall performance and quality is trash.

One thing that truely irritates me with pokémon is less of anything the games do and more of the general attitude of a large part of the fanbase. "We want a game with only new pokémon!" Black and White come out and get the worst reception any pokémon game had gotten to that date. Then it was "We want a 3D game!" X and Y come out and people cried about the models. "We want more story focus" Sun and Moon come out, focus on story and people complain about to many cutscenes and dialog? I truly don't understand why people ask for something and then go "oh, this isn't how I wanted it to be, so I don't want this anyway" Mind you, I'm of the opinion that criticism is a very important part of a games community. but there is a difference between valid criticism and just complaining about something that is no real problem in the end.

I’m sad that Paldea came out the way it did, because I really had fun despite the issues. Also the open world aspect I feel really hindered the world design for example The fairy gym area in SW/SH looks great but would stick out like a sore thumb in an open world. Which sucks because I love when Pokémon makes really creative locations.

Pretty much agreed on everything here except PLA, in there my biggest gripe is the exp distribution system. It tends to penalize you too much in my opinion.

Bro I agree completely with Let’s Go! I actually actually talked about it a lot and also get bad feedback, but how many times are we gonna replay the same? Cancel Hill storyline with the minor or future changes they could’ve given us a brand new candle story or modern Day tale similar to black-and-white to where maybe some gym leaders have retired and things have changed. It’s just so tiring but I think so. Many people cling to nostalgia instead of enjoying new and fresh ideas. The same way people hated black and white when it first came out but now they claim to love the games and games to be difficult when in all reality, it was their complaining and not buying the games, that made them start making games easier in the first place. My problem with Legends Arceus is that the land feels so barren and empty. Like it always seems so empty like nothing new to do.
