My worst one was definitely when a ex broke up with me on the very day I was planning to propose to her. I sit with her trying to understand why she wanted to break up, and she "it's just that... William is better than you, my dad likes him, my mom thinks he's great... but we can still be friends, right?" Side note: William is a guy I hated with all my heart, her dad acted all threatening to me on the only interaction we had and her mom treated me as a son through the whole relationship I had with her daughter... So, yeah, it was a triple shock to hear that. I heard by a gossip that, months later, this William was the worst and was rejected by them not much later, so, yeah, it was kind of a happy ending, I don't know 🤔😅.

One of the worst rejections I've ever had was when I was in middle school and me and two other friends were walking around the gym (it was rainy outside and they split boys and girls up, guys were on the bleachers). I walked past this guy who was sitting with his friends, I had never talked to him before and only seen him in the halls since he was a grade above me. We made and held eye contact for all of like 3 seconds and dude turns to one of his friends where I can still hear and goes 'man why all the girls here ugly' (or something along those lines, I honestly tried for most of my adolescent life not to think about it). In the moment I was so embarrassed and my face was overheating, I'm pretty sure I made up some excuse to go to the locker room until the end of class. What's crazy is a couple years down the road after I graduated high school ran into the guy again, I'm pretty sure at the mall or something - HE TRIED TO HIT ON ME. When I tell you so many things ran through my head but all I could think to do was politely decline because I get super nervous and awkward when hit on (because of jerks like him from my adolescents I have almost nonexistent self esteem). Moral of the story it was scarring for 12/13 year old me and was imo one of my worst rejections because I in no way came onto this guy.

Gotta put this. Worse rejection ive gotten was when i shot my shot at a coworker i was feeling. Didnt directly ask for a date. I just asked, "Would you think about going out with me?" She laughed... loudly. Embarrassing at first but wait, theres more. She said she wasnt looking to date right now. I respected that answer... Until she came in that following Sunday, asked on Tuesday, gushing about the date she went on with a guy to some fancy restaurant in Virginia.
