Waaay to much hate on the Lambo Jalpa. 255hp In the early 90's was acceptable. Styling was not dissimilar from Ferraris of the time (which were well liked). The zero to 60 time of 5.8 seconds was pretty solid. Also - "econo-boxes" produced in 2020 don't produce 255hp.

Just a friendly reminder that the xj220 is still the fastest 6 cylinder powered production car ever. And y'know it's one of the last analog supercars

He forgets the standards for these vehicle's actual time period made them slow compared to today's. For example, the Lamborghini Jalpa actually looked good for it's time. It followed both past and other companies designs to keep up, and the performance of it was acceptable for a supercar of it's time. No stock 80s or 90s supercar will have your average 3 second 0-60 the cars have today. The car was easy to drive because when supercars weren't as popular companies had to appeal to their customers, but it still relatively handed well. Please, stop comparing 80s and 90s supercar standards to modern day standards.

I love how he complains about the 255 horsepower in the Lamborghini Jalpa like it’s a bad thing and then shows a video clip which actually makes the Jalpa look fast. That power wasn’t too much less than the numbers Ferrari was getting back then. And then he complains about the Lambo being too easy to drive, right after complaining about another supercar from the same exact era being too hard to drive.

The Jag XJ220 was an unfortunate product of its timing, the engineers had to replace the V12 with the V6 (twin turbo that still had an output of 542bhp) because of tightening emissions regulations and retain reasonable fuel efficiency. Also around this time the bottom was falling out of the supercar market due to the financial crisis of the late 80s, forcing Jaguar to make cut backs in its spending. It wasn't like Jag intended to pull a bait and switch on its customers, but even facing all the troubles they did, they still managed to produce a record breaking car that most people in the know still regard as the 1st true Hyper car.

How could dis the jag and viper like that? They're some of the most beautiful cars ever made.

You know I always enjoyed watching your videos, but the last videos were totally wrong and misinformed.. The Lamborghini Jalpa is bad?. Have you owned a Jalpa? Have you driven one? Have you even seen one in person? My family owned one for over 10 years and over 30k miles and the car was a jewel. Was reliable and fun to drive. Easy to drive.......the first time it was hard because of a heavy throttle, clutch, shifts and steering. You had to work to drive it but once you got use to it it was a pleasure. The only complaint about the Jalpa was it had horrible brakes. Also keep in mind this car was made in the 80s. Comparing a sports car from back then to one today is like comparing a cell phone from the 80s to on from today. 255hp with short gearing was enough to have fun. Cars today all have computers for safety and performance. Back then no ABS, traction or anything. You were in charge of the car. Back then 255hp was a healthy number. Ferrari 308, Porsche 911, Lotus Esprit, Corvette were all in the 200hp range. Also these were sports/GT cars and not supercars. You want supercar you need a F40, F50, XJ220, EB110. McLaren F1. Delorean.....supercar......? Never heard anyone call a Delorean "Supercar". A early NA1 Acura NSX is far superior to the Jalpa in every way but didn't give as much pleasure on a back road. Also its easy to read specs online or in a magazine. Keep in mind foreign cars back then were heavily de-tuned for the American market because of emissions. Some tuning of the carburetors, a sports exhaust, and removing the catalytic converters and a car's performance is transformed big time.

The only problem with the Jalpa was that it had a Lamborghini badge. If that thing was made by Pontiac or Mazda or something, it'd be remembered as a perfectly good mid-range sports car.

You are wrong about the XJ220. Held the top speed record until the McLaren F1 came out. 0-60 under 4 seconds in a car that came out 30 years ago. Has racing pedigree behind it. One of the most beautiful designs ever. Complete bargain compared to the Ferrari F-40 & F-50, Bugatti EB-110, and McLaren F1, the direct competitors of their time.

XJ220 is one of my all time favss It looks bonkers it shares the same top speed with the freaking AVENDATOR and it has that sense of danger that today's supercars lack.

the Jag, even in its neutered state, is still a heckuva car with supercar potential; it should be remembered the original 220 was a detuned racer designed to compete in Le Mans in the 1960s; that heritage is built into the road model;

The Jalpa was and still is one of my dream cars. And unlike the other cars on your list, their values have gone way upin recent years.....so I'm not the only one who disagrees with you.

A TWR prepared Jaguar XJ220 came in first in the GT class at LeMans in 1993. Plus it won various other races. Sounds like a good car to me.

They tried using 6 wheelers in F1 but it got banned because it was such an unfair advantage that it would leave other drivers in the dirt

Between the three car as you mentioned at the end I would take the DeLorean hands down. Even if it's really slow I'd rather look good and be slow then look ugly and be fast lol. Also maybe this is just my own opinion but I think the lambo in the Ferrari of both look good. Maybe I'm just biased for that old-school 80s boxy look.
