Not American, but this song granted me a cowboy hat and a six shooter... Not that I'm complaining.

Writing “American” in the title is just a little simplifying for an average viewer :)

Santa Anna compare himself to Napoleon, yet he faces defeat against us? I guess we're as strong as several power house national super power Empires, but it would only make sense, since our land is the best land on earth

I am Spanish but they only won because the United States supported them. Mexico was already defeating Texas in all the battles. They only won because Santa Anna was caught off guard in the Battle of San Jacinto and they captured him. After that, Texas became independent but the Mexican government never He recognized that independence after that, he used annexed Texas, but Mexico had the intention of recovering Texas again. In addition, the cowboys are from Spain and Latin America, not the USA.

I'd never heard this version before, only the Civil War variant of it. For a long time, I didn't even know the Civil War version wasn't the original!

Vermont was once it’s own republic just like Texas. While our governor is the only Republican governor to not express support for Texas, there are many in the Green Mountains who stand by
