gonna be 100% honest while that is great intel and clears up a lot of my misunderstanding, that second version deadass shouldn't exist. "I saw that you overextended with a three hit combo while I was blocking, I will now punish your greed with a special move and then immediately die because you had meter and pressed R and now I'm actually the one being punished for thinking I'm allowed to punish your greed." Seriously, they either need to remove the cancel or force a knockback wave onto it, there is no way someone should be allowed to be that safe and deadly while there isn't even an indicator that somebody has super.

@@ihave2cows you are still fine if you punish with something safe like jabs. Plus, a good player would only ever hit you with the last jab hit to bait you. You can safely roll out of the first and second hit if its blocked

@@aronripke9470 maybe, but when the design of a game forces you to use your safest possible option to punish someone for being greedy, that's a sign there's something wrong with the game design. Already the fact that high level/"correct" play is two people taking turns 123 jabbing eachother against shield is really boring imo. You should be allowed to have some kind of window to use your flashy moves to diversify gameplay, this is just stagnant. I've already realized it, and I can win a lot of duels by just being more patient than the other player that way, but it feels incredibly lame to do. Plus, the strongest move in the game also being an invincible punish that has no inherint transparency is also just kinda stupid. I'm fine with it being strong, but it's pretty grimy that someone can make 10 mistakes and then win because they built up enough meter to punish with super and the other guy didn't and made one minor mistake.

@@ihave2cows idk how high lvl play looks honestly, but people are way to addicted to spam javeline tackle rn for that kind of optimized gameplay. You also still have mixup options with you specials and vicious attack for when they block to much or you anticipate their roll

Also using planks to set up supers. Planks say on them that they are for stuns. If you stun them with a plank you have time to activate super and grab them before they can even do anything

Also saving super for revive towards the final circle time. Especially when you got them chiiiickens on deck bruh :)

And if you start an elbow drop on a car and keep bouncing on the car with the elbow drop you will keep going higher and higher and get an atomic elbow drop without the high tower
