This inspires me to get my dad his dream car. He once had a 71 big block corvette. My mom and dad had taken so many cruises in their early years and my dad has fond memories of local ‘races’ in which he participated. It was stolen out of our garage in Chicago in 1980 (or 79…) early Christmas morning. You could see the tracks in the snow where they had pulled up a flatbed and loaded it up. It was never found. I ended up (decades later) finding one of my dream cars, an 84 Audi 4000s Quattro in great shape. I still have it and have been contemplating selling it to help fund purchasing another 71 Vette. Thanks for the inspiration. This is fantastic!

Man it never gets easier watching this video since he’s been gone. Other than that though I’m so glad he got to experience it for the time that he did. I know how it feels to be attached to a vehicle, more so than most others. If I had one vehicle I wish I could get back and experience again it would be a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee in bright white. My dad had one just like that when I was a kid, we have wrecked it, sold it and bought it back 3 times altogether over the years. But finally in May 2013 he sold it to a dealership in my city and it was the last time for real that I ever saw it. I have been obsessed with it since the day he brought it home when I was 6 years old and I miss it everyday. But I want to buy one just like it one day and get to drive it around so I can feel the nostalgia of it again. I wish I could find that very same Jeep but I’ve tried and it’s had a missing salvage title since my dad wrecked it in 2007 so it’s untraceable as of today. I probably won’t ever see it again but I’ll never forget it.

I've never been so touched by a youtube video before. I'm a car finatic myself, and I love how happy people are when they get their dream car. I can't Imagine how happy Angry Grandpa was to have his childhood memories pour back as he drove away in that thing. I hope I can do something like this for someone some day.

This made me cry. one of the most beautiful things I've seen.

I've built and bought plenty of cars for family and friends over the last 10 years of my life. This kind of genuine reaction never gets old, especially from a true car lover, appreciator, enthusiast or whatever you may call them. My favorite though will always be the day I brought home a 1964 impala coupe for my grandfather to have on retainer. It was also the day that 3 generations of man could line up their cars together; grandpa in the '64 impala SS (matching numbers), dad in the '16 ss sedan, and me in the '96 impala ss. 3 different generations of true chevy SS cars. Rest in Peace AG, the internet will never forget.
