For most of us that know boxing & are not casuals, Mosley is arguably the best 35' pugilist to ever do it. It's really between him & Duran, I never witnessed such dominance at 35' like those two greats. They moved up in weight for greater opportunities & ended up losing. Mosley is from Los Angeles county, a very rare breed of a pugilist that grew up in a two parent family. Unfortunately, he's a nice guy & we all know how women treat those guys.

Shane was an absolute warrior. He was primed to be an A side pay per view star in the first part of his career with his dad guiding. I remember when she jumped in; seemed she was trying to control his career. He didn't appear to be the same fighter. He grew up in Pomona, California. I know people who went to school with him, and grew up with him. I remember going to the Restaurant his family owned in Pomona, I'm not sure If they still own it, but I remember meeting his dad. His dad was very nice to us, he came up to me, my sister and cousin, and introduced himself. We knew it was his dad. He looks just like his dad, his dad was a very handsome man. They had a "Mural" painted of him outside of the restaurant. Shane probably continued to fight beyond his prime, because his wife took so much from him, and he had to recover some money! It's really hard for me to feel sorry for him, and men like him, who marry women outside of their race, and make them rich, instead of recycling their money amongst their own people. There was a lot of black girls in Pomona in love with him, even before he became a boxer, and if he had married one of those girls, I doubt if they would have ripped him off, and he would probably still be married to her, because it was true love, but he probably thought those girls were not good enough for him! I met shane in Boyle Heights (ELA) years ago whole he was sparring with Genaro Hernandez. Shane was very nice and gave me a few minutes of his time. I will always remember him as a great fighter and even a better person who didn't badmouth others
