Chip Shots are Much EASIER with this Technique
Are you looking to improve your golf game? One of the most important aspects of the game is chipping around the greens.
In this video, I'm going to show you the best way to chip a golf ball around the green.
There are two main ways to do this: the bump and run chip shot and the basic chip shot. And I display the easiest way to hit chip shots closer in various situations around the green using either an 8 iron or a wedge. I'll show you both methods and let you decide which one is best for you.
We also cover in this golf lesson why using an 8 iron to chip with might be better than using a 7 iron vs a wedge chipping technique.

very well explained and great examples. I no longer reach for a wedge right away - i've been using my 9 and 8 more and have far less thin/chunk shots. Well done.

Scottish golf right there. My Dad often told me the closer you can keep the ball to the ground the bigger margin for error you have👍

Hey Alex just know your YT Channel a couple of days - but what should i say? It lifted my hole game to another level of Golf! Up to now it was realy "hard work" on the course to maintain a propper swing and result. Excellent, I tried the 8 iron, and it was much softer off the face and more forgiving. I usually use my 7 iron. I also tried the 9 iron and stood closer to the ball with positive results. Thank you

I have the best results chipping with my 9 iron, if conditions permit I also use a hybrid, just seems to give me more confidence than a very lofted club (at my level)

Learned the 9 iron a long time ago and I never looked back. It’s great. The hybrid takes a little practice as it can come off a little “hot” but solid weapon ⛳️

I've hit the "easy button" and have a dedicated chipper in my bag. I used to use my 8 iron (39 degrees) but have found the chipper to just work for me up to 40 yards.

What club would u suggest should be used if u are about 10 meters from the pin in light to heavy rough and the pin is say 2 meters from the edge of the green

I agree. I've tried 8, 9, and PW for the bump and run, and I feel the 9 gives me the best distance contol and accuracy. I'm also using my hybrid like a putter when I'm on the apron and I have a lot of distance to cover. Great video!
