Patrick Page was born in Spokane, Washington in 1962. He was raised primarily in Monmouth, Oregon. His parents are Robert and Geri Page. He has two brothers and one sister (deceased). He attended Central High School in Independence, Oregon, and The Pacific Conservatory of Performing Arts in Santa Maria California. He received his BA from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington.
As a young child, Patrick watched his father perform Shakespeare at The Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, and the theatre bug took hold. Patrick’s Broadway credits include Hades in Hadestown, The Inquisitor in Saint Joan, Adult Men in Spring Awakening, Valentina in Casa Valentina, Rufus Buckley in A Time to Kill, The Adult Men in Spring Awakening, De Guiche in Cyrano De Bergerac, The Green Goblin/Norman Osborn in Spider- Man, Turn Off the Dark, Henry VIII in A Man for All Seasons, The Grinch in How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Decius Brutus in Julius Caesar, Scar in the Lion King, Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast, and multiple roles in The Kentucky Cycle. Other New York credits include Cymbeline in Cymbeline for the New York Shakespeare Festival in Central Park, Frollo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame at The Papermill Playhouse, Max in The Sound of Music at Carnegie Hall, Jacob Marley in A Christmas Carol at Madison Square Garden, The Cardinal in The Duchess of Malfi at Red Bull Theater, Aumerle in Richard II directed by Steven Berkoff at The Public Theatre, and the title role in Rex at the York Theatre. International credits include starring at London’s Royal National Theatre (Olivier Stage), The Prague Shakespeare Theatre, and The Citadel Theatre in Edmondton Alberta.
Patrick is an Associate Artist of The Old Globe Theater where his roles include Cyrano in Cyrano De Bergerac (Craig Noel Award), Malvolio in Twelfth Night, Jeffrey Cordova in Dancing in the Dark (Craig Noel Award) Pogo Poole in The Pleasure of His Company and Michael in I Do! I Do!. He is an Affiliated Artist with The Shakespeare Theater Company in DC, where roles include Prospero, Coriolanus (Emery Battis Award) Macbeth, Claudius, and Iago (Helen Hayes Award). He has been acknowledged as one of America’s foremost classical actors by The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.
Patrick’s other regional credits span 35 years, beginning with six years as leading actor for The Utah Shakespeare Festival. Since then he has played major roles at The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, La Jolla Playhouse, The Papermill Playhouse, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Long Wharf Theater, Pioneer Theater Company, Arizona Theatre Company, ACT, Indiana Repertory Theatre, Missouri Repertory Theatre, and Cincinnati Playhouse, among many others. He has played many of Shakespeare’s leading roles including Hamlet, Henry V, Macbeth, Iago, Coriolanus, Cymbeline, Mercutio, Benedick, Prospero, Menenius, Oberon, Richard III, Autolycus, Jaques, Talbot, Marc Antony, Brutus, Richard II and many more
Patrick’s television credits include The Gilded Age, Evil, NCIS NOLA, Chicago PD, Blacklist The Good Wife, Elementary, Flesh and Bone, Law and Order SVU, and many others.
Patrick is also the founder of The Patrick Page Acting Studio in New York City where he teaches on an ongoing basis. In addition to the Studio, he has taught acting and Shakespeare at the NYU Graduate Actor Training Program/Tisch School of the Arts, The Shakespeare Lab, The Academy of Classical Acting, The Broadway Theatre Project, The Alabama Shakespeare Festival MFA Program, Southern Utah University, Emporia State University, Whitman College and many others
Patrick is also a playwright. His play Swansong, which premiered at The Lucille Lortel White Barn Theatre in Westport, was nominated for Best New Play by The American Theatre Critics’ Association, was chosen by The New York City Summer Play Festival to play on Theatre Row in July 2006, and has received numerous regional productions. Patrick also wrote his one-man shows Passion’s Slaves and All the Devils Are Here, which have toured nationally and internationally.
Mr. Page served as Director of Development and Artistic Associate for The Utah Shakespearean Festival and was a Founding Associate Artist of the Southwest Shakespeare Company. Patrick is also a magician, honored by The International Brotherhood of Magicians as the “Best International Teen Illusionist” at their annual convention in 1979.
Mr. Page is the recipient of The Grammy Award, The Tony Award nomination, the Helen Hayes Award, The William Shakespeare Award for Classical Theater, The Emery Battis Award, The Princess Grace Award in Theatre, The Princess Grace Statue for Sustained Achievement, The Matador Award for Classical Acting, The Joseph Jefferson Award, and the Utah Governor’s Medal for the Arts.

In 199O I saw Patrick in Ashland as Mark Anthony. I fell in love! I attended his one-man show in Portland at least 3 times.
