Oh wow I loved this, especially the slow motion videos, I also thought the same thing when you mentioned starwars lol, I love starwars by the way especially the original films. The slow motion videos are amazing I love how the water ones kept their form for those few seconds just before their collapse it's so pretty and really cool to watch. I find it fascinating how the oobleck behaves where it acts like both a fluid and a solid, for example if you push your finger tips into it or pour it into something it acts like a fluid showing no resistance, however if you hit it with something with a lot of surface area such as your open hand it acts like a solid and resists that item, I've even heard you can walk or run on it but I'm not sure if that is true, maybe a future experiment for you to do 🤔 Anyway knowing this information it explains why the oobleck reacted the way it did in your experiment. I decided to have a guess to how the oobleck would behave during your experiment, i guessed that shooting it with the gun pellet, because the gun pellet has very little surface area, the oobleck has very little surface area to resist against, so that's why it went straight through it like it did with the water or should I say it went through it like it was thicker water lol, however because the golf ball has a much bigger surface area to it that caused the oobleck to act like a solid and gave it some resistance when it went through. So basically using a much smaller item with very little surface area to shoot at the oobleck will cause the oobleck to act like a liquid, and shooting a object that is bigger with a bigger surface area will make the oobleck to act like a solid . Is pretty cool seeing that my prediction was correct and I'm glad I was right lol anyway I'll stop waffling on keep up the good work, but more importantly stay safe and have fun 😃

You could layer the ouburic (don't know if I've spelt it right though) like scales and see if the layers could result in a new bullet proof vest, and use a high heat resistant material for the layers because speed = heat in a way... I just love my questions being answered as life is fascinating ;)

I enjoyed the video of you experimenting with oobleck! I thought that as the force applied to the fluid increased, the weapon would be able to penetrate the balloon better, but the greater the force, the harder the weapon penetrates the balloon. It did the opposite of what I thought😂 It's amazing that there is a fluid that doesn't follow a certain viscosity regardless of stress. If a non-Newtonian fluid that can change to more liquid or more solid by the degree of force applied later is developed, I think it can be useful in real life.
