Hey Bentist, I am a person with TMJ pain and inflammation so bad that it swells large enough in my mouth that my tongue can’t stretch. Huge clicky sound and absolute pain, had a splint made it, was going ok, 1 month in and wisdom tooth grows through and it now doesnt fit. What can i do for my pain? Ive done physio for years

Dentist here, hi. Guess what I woke up with couple days ago? Occult caries with pulpitis in premolar with maxillary sinus pathway…. In other words- my premolar was a ticking chaos. Safe to say wasn’t a fun experience to be in the receiving end 😅😭 So yeah - pls see ur dentist regularly. Listen to Bentist.

I'm older now and had braces as a kid and beautiful straight teeth all the way up until my 30s and after that my teeth started going to hell. I lost some teeth had root canals had to have composite bonding etc. so I opted for crowing the rest of my teeth and getting a bottom partial and a upper bridge. Best thing I did for myself.

How rare is it to be able to lay the tongue on its side? Because I did that during a cleaning and it surprised my dentist. Seems to run in my family because my mom can do it too.

2:09 Another reason why Invisalign is so much better than braces, and should 100% be more developed and produced so they don't cost 2 organ donations to have them done. Simple reasons why they are better: No annoying brackets slicing the mouth open, MUCH easier to brush teeth (and by extension prevent cavities, tartar build up, periodontal disiese and all the negative effects that would have). You can take the treys out to eat which makes SO much more sense, you can actually floss, no horrible spots on the teeth, and overall less time spent in the treatment. I know some teeth movements have to be done with braces, but I 100% believe that Invisalign is underused, and could replace horrible painful metal in your mouth in a number of instances. I'm getting my clear retainers soon, and to be honest they look so easy I have no idea why people neglect their retainers. (R.I.P to the smooth brained folk who chose any other retainer type than the clears) So yeah, Unfortunately I didn't have any spare organs kicking about to spend on Invisalign treatment. Alternative Invisalign development companies, where ya at?

It’s getting repetitive

@breec3346 0 seconds ago I struggled for YEARS to brush my teeth. Once I started putting my toothpaste and brush (with a sanitary cover on it) in the shower! Now when I don’t feel like showering I am reminded that I probably won’t brush my teeth and my hair won’t be all curled up and pretty! So those are my motivators to get a shower AND BRUSH MY TEETH!!! Just some ideas from someone who hasn’t brushed her teeth since childhood!!!
