I love this vlog format where we see glimpses of your everyday life. Your apartment is so beautiful. Every item is beautiful and visual and they work so well together. As for the info dumps, likely it wasn't Jemisin's own idea but her publisher's demand.

i took the cover of the book, and for the back, i picked out a color that would match and printed it out. then I cut and glued little squares of thick paper to make the pages. i then glued the cover on and attached it to an earring hook. sorry its a bit hard to explain it via comments

I work for a very large tech company where I am the lead of our Women's group. We ran a drive to collect and donate YA and Children's books written by Black Women in the past 2 years. Just in my building, I have bought and collected about 30 books. We are donating them to two local libraries.

YES!! I thought I was weird for not being able to just sit down and listen to audio book without doing anything. I used to play a lot of video games and while doing that I'd just put on an audio book on the background so I was able to burn through my entire audio book library really quickly, like a 30hr book would just take me 2~3 days to finish depends on how long I spend playing. And no, I didn't play games 15hrs a day, I listen to books on 3x the narration speed so it's pretty fast. I haven't been feeling like playing lately which also unfortunately means that I didn't get much reading done either and I don't really like that so I have been forcing myself to play games just so that I could listen to my audio books in the background lol.

Hannibal is AMAZING!!! I rewatched it a couple of times when it was on netflix, but it was taken off the Belgian netflix a few months ago😞 It's so good and addicting hahah so I bought the dvd's

Hannibal!!! Literally one of my favorite TV shows ever! I've actually started reading the books, and they are a lot different from the series, but the writing is really really good, I would recommend them! (I can only vouch for the first two)

yeah i did notice a lot more info dumping in book 2 - I still really liked it but that did bug me considering the first book had 0 info dumping. the ending of the obelisk gate tho like it hits. I think the themes are def the strongest part of the series like you said

I really like how you dived into this series 💕 This was the last trilogy that I managed to binge read, which I don’t do often because I tend to confuse the content of the books if I read them one after another lol but woah I wanted to understand what was happening, and how deeply I was affected by some events and by how masterfully Jemisin wraps things up. When I picked The Fifth Season I was NOT READY for what was coming hah

Aaah Hannibal was the best show! When I read the books by Thomas Harris all I could picture while reading were Hugh Dancy and Madds Mikkelson. How they picked the costumes for Hannibal's character were amazing. 10/10 would love to dress like that every day for no reason at all other than to be fancy af.

Hannibal is that one show that all my fan girl friends watched and I was never able to watch it because IM A CHICKEN 😂 we all watched Lizzie Bennet Diaries, Doctor Who and Sherlock together but Hannibal was too much for me. I know that if it wasn’t for the gore it would have been one of my favorites shows though. Oh well 💁🏻‍♀️ PS: Hannibal cast at Nerd HQ still is one of my favorite panels from a con. So good and funny!
