I live in a 9M$ house in the same area as this one it cost about 80k to maintain a year. The heater in my house broke and that was very expensive to fix (450,000$) so yes and no.

I applaud the architect, the builders, the owners, and all of the people who was responsible for seeing this fabulous luxury home into its completion! The most classical home I have seen in the US. It’s just mind blowingly magnificent. Like a small version of Versailles. Do much details and sculpturing, I am in awe. The most fairy tale of fairy tale homes in this modern age...how can you not wear a gown walking around in it. I just swoon at how elegant it is.

lol.. Work hard. You'll make it. I do real estate, trade stocks daily, Swing Trade , Hold long term, own many multi million dollar businesses, invested in some very successful apps, and worth quite alot. I'd only but a home this expensive if i had a massive family or if i was worth $20B.

@@cpgeorge4442Now, now. Not necessarily. There are those who’ve never been comfortable around opulence ...they find it stuffy, busy or overbearing. I note that many in the tech sector are enamored of “clean lines” and find minimalist design greatly appealing... However, I am not one of those people. I could spend hours on end gazing at the intricate scrollwork, running my finger along the mouldings, counting the number of rosettes in the millwork and the crystals in each chandelier.... To each their own.

I love chateaus in general and I've seen many (I'm from Europe and I love going to France). This chateau is sincerely one of the most beautiful chateaus I've ever seen. Of course it has been built quite some time later than most chateaus in France, but chapeau for the attention paid to the forms and details that are distinguishable for a chateau and then combining this with a modern feel 👌🏾

The most beautiful home that I have truly ever seen. Every detail is outstanding. There is nothing that I would change, except.......wish this home was in Texas. Wonder if the builder ever builds outside Virginia? There is nothing that I have personally seen that compares to his work.....Like a fine painter....this home, his work....is truly a masterpiece. It was built by the The Building Group INC. the Architect was James McDonald in NC. I'm sure you could have them build you one in Texas if you really wanted one.

I LOVE what "The Building Group" is doing with these builds. They are reintroducing touches that most modern homes don't see anymore. I would LOVE to see extra touches you would only find on homes built in the 1850s-1920s that have gone through extensive remodels. Hidden rooms and hallways, staircases behind cabinets and small doorways to the rooftop. I think the floral tile work is the ONLY detail that doesn't fit with the styling on this build.

I have enough imagination to fill a house like that. Cleaning won't actually be as crazy as people think. Unless you are an extremely messy person you may only need a crew to come in to do major cleanings once every couple of months. Not on a daily. You may need a weekly gardener if gardening and landscaping isn't a hobby though.
