Back in 1998 a guy named Michel Gordillo flew his Kitfox from Spain to Oshkosh. It was before youtube but he had an internet blog that posted as close to daily updates as was possible. Don't know if any of that is still accessible but I remember the ordeals he went through. He was under house arrest in Vietnam for a few weeks which delayed his arrival at Oshkosh and they actually delayed the end of Air-Venture that year to accommodate him. The neatest thing was that when he arrived in Alaska, he never paid a dime for an ounce of fuel, a meal or a room for the remainder of his trip to the event. He was the hero that year.

This guys whole life is insane. He is also the same guy that refused to fly a flight with Iberia Airlines because as Captain he determined it was unsafe to fly but was fired. He had to go to court and lost his job. Don't forget he also has over 15,000 hours of flight and was given the Aeronautical Merit award in 1998

hey JP, these videos are Worthy of millions of views. But one attractive quality of you, your channel, and these videos, is that you seem indifferent or oblivious to views and “likes” and all of the “chasing” you normally see on social platforms. That could be for one of many possible reasons, none of which matter. The main point being, when you drop a video, it’s like a gift. It’s unexpected, it’s a surprise. It’s like the incredibly smart guy in the room who you don’t hear from a lot but when they speak up everybody listens with intent. Because they know what is being said is important, educational and in general worthy of their attention. Anyhow, not to linger on. Love the videos. Keep up the great work.

I'm not sure I've ever been more jealous of any pilots ever. As a trainee pilot (PPL) myself, this has reminded me why I'm doing it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. This cinematography and editing feels more like a multi-million pound documentary than a KZfaq video. If you continue on this streak, I think before long it really will be an honour and a rare thing to be able to say "I watched JP Schulze before 100k". I love the lack of clickbait, the lack of view chasing, the lack of over-commercialisation and the sheer and visible effort you put into what you do. Truly phenomenal.

Literally hundreds of pilots die every year doing stupid stunts like this. If they had vanished in the middle of the ocean being eaten by sharks you'd never know their name. Because a lot of pilots died that way the same year. And you don't know their names.

Because of you and youre adventures I had my first actual PPL flight lesson today. Very exciting, it went very well but a long way to go obviously. Felt a little sick after 1 hour tho, takes some getting used to i guess. Hope one day i get the chance to take my family on a trip with me. Thanks man and keep up the good stuff, save travels👏🏻
