Excellent work on shedding the lights on Ukranian grain. What most of the Western countries don't understand is that African countries don't care at all about the ongoing war and they will pursue their best interests when it comes to food, unless they are ready to provide a much cheaper alternative they shouldn't shame them for the moral high ground.

Russia has never been an exporter of wheat worthy of mentioning; Ukraine always has been. It's one of the reasons Russia wants to steal the Ukrainian land to have this super fruitful soil in its "assets portfolio." Wheat is an excellent sellable article under any conditions - in war or peace. Russian Russia itself almost doesn't produce anything interesting. All their interesting and profitable articles - gas, oil, diamonds, (precious) metals, wheat, caviar, etc. are almost exclusively coming from the other nations Russia invaded since Ivan the Terrible and made them Russians, though they definitely are not ones.

Let’s pause for a minute and ask her ourselves why subsaharan Africa is suffering from food shortages and grain shortages yet are “allocated” per neocolonialism to produce cocoa and coffee and bananas for multi national corporations wild there tropical forests and timber has been laundered by these multinational western corporations. When will African leaders start taking responsibility for their and decouple these?
@Julia-lk8jn
@Julia-lk8jn 2 жыл бұрын
Har-di-har on the "when will African leaders start taking responsibility for the mess that western companies are causing." Where the heck did you copy-paste the entire rest of the comment? Do you really think that the huge US and EU companies who secured water rights, or trade-marks on plants, and long-term contracts didn't make sure that those contracts are iron-clad, and that the countries have no safe way to get out of it? Little example: when developing nations put up health warnings against smoking, big tobacco companies like BAT sue them about that. And in some cases, those companies have more money than the nation in question, so they can and will take these suits from one court to the next. The only thing "African leaders" could do would be over-rule a courts decision, which is generally called tyranny ... and some Near East countries have found that trade conflicts have a way of leading to US-backed war lords over-throwing their elected government, or an army marching in to liberate them from their Weapons of Mass Destruction. Oh, and also to spread western values, obviously. Essentially, you're woefully asking "when oh when will that 10 year old child finally start taking responsibility and stand up to the 17 year old bully armed with daddy's gun??"

Hmm, this has been the case in my country since independence. When deciding what bird would symbolize our newly founded nation that was the United States three were considered. The Dove was suggested by Thomas Jefferson as a symbol of peace; the Eagle was recommended by John Adams, The North American bird species native to the land was recognized by Benjamin Franklin as, "A noble bird that feels no fear running headlong toward their enemy." I have to wonder with a small sence of dread at how things could have turned out had we chosen a different bird.
