Very touching reaction/review. Your reaction was genuine and heartfelt. When you became choked up during the video, it choked me up as well. Thank you for not holding back your emotions. The dance with Mrs. Springsteen is all the more emotional knowing that she has been battling Alzheimer’s for the past 8 years or so. During his Broadway show, Springsteen talks about this, and he tells the audience that although she battles with her mind, when she hears music, she lights up like old, and she still loves dancing. Knowing this, watching Springsteen dance with his mom, and then seeing your emotions about your memories dancing with your mom, it was very emotional for me, too. Thanks for this reaction and thanks for sharing. 👊👊

Astute comments regarding Bruce as a Bandleader. In fact, I saw an interview with Prince shortly before his death where he revealed that he had contacted Bruce and asked him (of course he said yes) if he could watch one of his concerts from off / back stage to learn more about how he leads the band. Speaks to Bruce's influence on other artists, and the drive that Prince had to keep improving.

That's a hell of a testament to both of them as bandleaders. Prince was famously a bit of an iron fist for his bands (they'd have to rehearse A LOT so they wouldn't get left behind when he went off on a tangent), but he definitely had a lot going on in his concerts in much the same way that Bruce did with his.

I assume you’ve never been to a Springsteen show, but with his upcoming tour, as expensive as tickets are, you owe it to yourself to try and go see the most professional band, live. Fearing he may never come back to Texas, I got tix so I could have my daughter experience Bruce and the E Street Band live before it’s too late. I regret not taking her to see Tom Petty before he passed. Great review and accurate score. Keep up the great reactions. Love the channel.

Great Raw emotional response @DavidHeretic - Bruce wrote a song about his relationship to his mum called "The Wish" - " "If pa's eyes were windows into a world so deadly and true You couldn't stop me from looking but you kept me from crawlin' through And if it's a funny old world, mama, where a little boy's wishes come true Well I got a few in my pocket and a special one just for you"

Definitely his mother. She also has Alzheimer’s, so it’s a pretty emotional moment. Also Jake Clemons is Clarence’s nephew, not son.

For whatit's worth ever since the original video with Courtney Cox, Bruce has always pulled someone from the audience to dance with him. It's tradition. On special occasions when a family member is in attendance they may join him.

Bruce credits his mother with a lot of things but amongst them is his love of music and dancing. In another song he tells of his mother making him do the twist with her for his aunts and uncles.

What really gets to me about him dancing with his mom is thinking about all those years before Bruce made it big. He really struggled for clise to a decade playung at clubs before breaking through. It must be wonderful to have his mother experience all the success he's had after those early struggles. Everyone wants to make their mother proud.

I’m from Jersey, have seen him here a bunch of times. In the 2000’s I’ve seen him call his mom out a bunch of times. She always gets a great reception. Alas, I doubt we’ll see her this time around - Bruce has said she’s deep into her battle with Alzheimer’s. She doesn’t always recognize him but when he plays music for her she “dances” in her wheel chair.

I wish you had seen the performance from Barcelona in 2002. Bruce was a lot more animated, which would I think alleviate some of your concern. BTW It's my understanding this arrangement debuted in 2000, during the reunion tour. It's been a staple ever since.

One of my favourite videos, a 10 for me. Max Weinberg has one of the most difficult jobs in the world. 1, 2, 3, 4 the song begins. Nobody in the band, in the crew, in the crowd, even Bruce doesn't know how or when it's gonna end. And he has to keep it running. The band keeps playing, Jake Clemmons was about to run out of oxygen... and they sound perfect. And it's Max work. And I have to do a little joke, seeing how this channel is going recently. You have to sell your Harley Davidson and buy an electric Smart, mr. "Tearetic" :P :P :P XDDDD

Greetings again, eh! I ball like a baby every time I see this, my Mother passed when I was 5 from meningitis ( I'm 65 now). It's something I never had, yet seeing Bruce and Adele brings me joy, especially knowing what influence Adele had on a young Bruce music wise. I"ve seen Bruce do many dances and some have been as emotional as this, it's why we go time after time after time!! For context, this is usually the second last song of the night, so, we're about 3 1/2 hours into the show, and look at that energy!! You made me smile though, did I hear a "SVZ" drop?? Great to hear you've caught onto the band names, Steve, Max, and yes Jake Clemons, The Big Man's nephew!! Drop a "professor" in the next one and you'll make my day!!!

When I saw them in Berlin Olympic Stadium(!) they even turned the house-lights ON when it got dark during the show, so the audience stayed visible. What other act does that?

Agreed about the E Street band. To me, they remain the best ever rock band live and their performances are even more impressive if you consider the scale and ambition of the whole set, especially around 2011: the core 7 or 8 piece band + horn section + violin + back-up singers, all on cue all the time. Long live Mighty Max Weinberg!

For Bruce, you have to do Rosalita Come Out Tonight (from really any concert), Ramrod (from Barcelona 2002), Mary’s Place (from Barcelona 2002), Waiting On a Sunny Day (from really any concert), Sherry Darling (from the No Nukes Concert), New York City Serenade (from Rome 2013), Born in the U.S.A. (From Madison Square Garden 2000), (Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher (From the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame 25th anniversary) Kitty's Back (From Perth 2014), and Spirit In the Night (from Rio Lisboa 2016). All amazing!
