Really dislike the downshift exploit. If they cannot fix it, they should at least not put another road car on a high speed track which maximize the exploit and made life hard for the majority of the players

IRL the engine would shred to pieces so why not in the game too? Or at least decreased power output.

@@TheCommentator112 agreed, perhaps even easier to implement if they just invalidate the lap, like when touching a barrier or crossing track limits. To a certain degree, engine braking is a legit technique used in racing (IRL), and I think this could open up a discussion to what extend they should allow it. Just as with track limits and barriers I guess.

Can someone explain to me the smaller number in the red square to the right of the number that shows what gear you are in? Sorry if this is a dumb question. Still fairly new to playing Gran Turismo and caring about cars.

It's the gear that the game recommends for going through a corner. I wouldn't rely on that, though. Good luck and have fun, I think gt7 is a great game.

When you do downshift this hard your engine should go red and slows you down or break completely. i think even in Assetto Corsa has this simulation. It is easy to implement why poliphony does not do it?

Is it a bug or would the car behave in a similar way with that much aggressive engine braking in real life? (Haven't tried it and don't plan to)

You can try it, but the engine would probably blow up

@DigitGamingDG a quick question. What do you have your in-game steering sensitivity set too? I notice you don't turn your wheel 90 degrees to turn max so it must be higher than 5 (default)

I have it at 10, but that doesn't matter when it comes to turning the wheel, your wheel sensitivity does that @@hebisty4163

@DigitGamingDG cheers I might give increasing mine a go. Because I do feel that's one of the weaknesses of a wheel . Quick inputs compared to a controller
