Thank you so much for this review. I’ve been feeding my dog tails for the past 2 years thinking I was doing the best thing for him. I feel so bad knowing that it’s such low quality protein. I have just switched to Bella and Duke (based on your review of their raw dog food). I’m so excited to get my dog started on the healthy diet he deserves :)

Thanks for doing these reviews. Would you consider doing a review on the Fromm brand particularly the Gold line. It's a family owned, very established company that sources meat and produce local in their state in the US. Only supplies to local stores and after watching interviews I've learned they don't cook "bake" the food the same way as other companies so they say it keeps the a good amount of nutrients.

Always interesting reviews cam always thought kibble was not good for dogs it's too processed. Can you review please butchers wholegrain loaf recipes in a blue can 390g Tin cheers.

Hello, i came across your channel and after watching your 1st video, i canceled my amazon order (which should arrive tomorrow) I adopted a 7y old English Foxhound and she was already overweight when i got her. I changed her food to home cooked and raw BUT now a year later she became even more obese than b4 !!What can i do ?? What is the best food ??

Would really love a review of lilys kitchen canned and dry dog food - I've been using this when we go on holiday for convenience instead of fresh cooked food when we're home (for the dog not us!) It seemed one of the better processed food options, and it's heavily marketed as having fresh meat in its products but would love a review from you,. I know so many people that use it thinking its far superior to other similar products

Cam, you are so valuable. We don't have that kibble here in the US. Well, not that I know of, but I tell people the same thing to not feed it. It all does the same thing.

Thank you for bursting my bubble 🙈 I have a dachshund who I tried on various brands as a puppy and he had upset stomach all the time . This stopped once I switched to Tails (dry and wet), however, I had concerns with the tiny portion sizes that they reckon my dog needed. Definitely eager to cancel my subscription after watching this video. Their sister company which does cat food is doing the same by the way. Very low quality food with some fantastic shiny branding. I got my cat off that a long time ago but struggled to find an alternative to Tails. So I take it dry food would always be classed as over processed and shouldn’t be fed to dogs ?

OMG !!!! Ive been feeding this c@#p to my gsd for the last eighteen months !!! Previously he was on Step Up To Naturals grain free and it was ok, but I thought I would upgrade to a better food. My partner chose Tails grain free dry food and the foil wet food trays, as it was " tailor made " etc and convenient home delivery. Initially all seemed well, my dog ate the food, not overly enthusiastic, but he's always been a bit fussy. Its only recently I've not been happy with Tails and I've been doing some research online and come accross this video that I'm starting to put things together.....my gsd has recently been diagnosed by the vet with seasonal allergies and now he's on medication for that. He still scratches alot, but its not fleas etc. His ears are itchy, he bites at his back and has "hot" patches of skin and his general demeanour is "meh" . Now I'm convinced its Tails food !!!! He is definitely NOT thriving on this food, he's never had so many ailments before. I will be cancelling my subscription with immediate effect. I'm so glad I've seen this video, thank you. Im convinced Tails food is making my dog ill, DO NOT FEED IT TO YOUR DOG. Its expensive rubbish !!!!!

Was looking for a comment confirming my worries, my dog has been dealing with the same issues! Constantly scratching at his ears to the point they’re extremely red and sore, we’ve took him the vet multiple times got steroids and ear drops and yet these issues have persisted, even had him on anti allergy medication and it’s not helped. Thank you for confirming my suspicions, cancelling asap and looking for better options!

He did give good review to Ziwi. But they are very expensive. But then quality comes with price else you get all this trash, hence, cooking yourself is better. But if you can afford Ziwi good for you.

I would suggest Orijen as Ziwi is too expensive... Orijen has quality ingredients and is a lot more expensive than most kibbles but is cheaper than Ziwi. Also, just so you know it costs around £25 to become a "certified dog nutritionist" and yes what this man says is true as in what the dog needs, however in the real world most people can't afford and/or don't have time to to cook good food every day for themselves let alone their dog. We love our dogs, we want what is best for them but you have to be realistic - do your research into what is best for your dog and find a decent quality kibble you can afford - stay away from the big name brands that are in every supermarket and you're probably already halfway there.

@@alanx216 So, according to you feeding your dog kibble which is actually processed food, is natural and healthy. Human doctors and nutritionists constantly tell people to eat as natural as possible and abstain from processed food for better health but veterinarians are brainwashed to advice pet owners to feed their pets processed kibble all their lives to expect good health. 😂 Even my great great grand mum also had this much common sense that staying as close to nature in terms of food is anyways better for any living specie than factory processed food.

I was put off by the claims being so impractical in reality (as if any business can tailor a recipe to EACH dog), and the fact they could not give me ANY ingredients in their food - so dodgy.

Dam. Just ordered kibble n wet. One off trial. my BC is bitnsensitive n suffered boit of collitis. Been on chicken/fish & brown rice for healing. But was goung to try this food. Thought be mind yo his tummy. Bit of a Commercial hype. Hes been on wainwright kibble & Naturo wet. 6 yr old BC. Dont fancy giving him this stuff. Wish researched it better. 🤦‍♀️

Drew me in immediately..you know why?. .Because people that really love their dogs like children,will do anything to keep them safe,and want them to live their best life possible. I will pay any price,to know my dog is eating exactly what she needs. Expert information is so hard to come by in regards to dog food.From my own research i was utterly shocked at whats allowed into the majority of dog foods. But even then,knowing exactly which way to go is a confusing minefield. Its obvious from the first minute,this guy despairs about the misinformation,and unscrupulous marketing out there.But also has the dogs wellbeing, as the absolute priority.

OMG! so NOT tailor made, had a 80% discount voucher so thought i'd try it, one of my chis has joint problems as he is senior and his food is basically the same as the one in the review, the other is still a puppy 6 months old and needless to say the ingredients composition is basically the same. I could not see the actual ingredients composition until subscribed and their food plan "tailored", there is no ingredients list on the bag only on their online account under their food plan. Ingredients choice has worsened i guess since this review was posted: 36.5% "meat and animal" content of which 30% is chicken powder and offal, 5.2% poultry powder and offal not specified which poultry, and the remaining 1.3% is "meat and bone" powder NOT specified which meat and beef powder, no indication as to which percentage these last 2 are present in this food. My sniour chihuahua did not take to it easily, for 2 weeks he sniffed it walked away and when he eventually took a few from my hand as treats he had bad stools. they both had about a handful out of each bag and needless to say our subscription is cancelled.

The only thing that is tailored about this junk food is the sticker on the packet with the dogs name on it! This is absolute junk food and in my opinion, is the lowest of the lowest.

Hi, I have a dog with a lot of allergies... he's currently on Greenwoods Insects with Potatoes, Peas & Fava dry dog food, I add rehydrated veg (Composition Dried Carrot, Dried Maize, Dried Sweet Potato, Dried Parsnip, Dried Parsley, Dried Coriander, Dried Courgette, Dried Broccoli, Dried Celery, Dried Dill, Analytical Constituents Crude Protein 11%, Crude Fats & Oils 2%, Crude Fibres 11%, Crude Ash 7%, Calcium 0.3%, Phosphorus 0.3%) to his kibble & I also add salmon oil.... unfortunately, he's had trouble emptying his anal glands since a young pup (he's now 19 months), I tried a raw diet but it really didn't suit him, he had very bad hives (which are somewhat under control now).... what would you suggest? & could you do a review on Greenwoods Insects with Potatoes, Peas & Fava dry dog food please. Thanks very much, I really hope you can help me help my boy. 😁

Cam does a video on YORA insect dog food😳. Why don't you Make homemade fresh cooked healthy food, with meat for your dog?. Why you are adding lots of rehydrated veg?,use fresh veg instead! Veg is cheap yes?Ditch the kibble it's ultra highly processed crap food, also said by cam on insect food for dogs. I'm not surprised your poor dogs got health issues everything in the food is dried/ dehydrated! No moisture. Ect ect ect. Sounds like poor dog is constipated ?🙉 Causes of Dog Hives The allergen that causes the hives may be environmental, chemical, or dietary. Any allergen your dog is sensitive can also lead to hives. Common causes include: Insect stings/bites (often involving the head and neck of your pup) Shampoos or topical agents Medications Vaccinations Toxic plants Food allergens Insects bites, chemical contact, and medications are the most common. Maybe it wasn't the raw feeding causing hives? Best regards.

@aleman6108 1st off, please don't be so judgmental! My dog is loved & cared for. I have done quite a few elimination diets while consulting with his vet & the dietition. I do cook him vegetables. My "poor dog" as you stated, is not neglected in anyway shape or form. I've had him tested at the vets for allergies. He's atopic, he also has allergies to chicken (any feather meat), venison, Beef, pork, basically meat protein and grain/wheat too. If he was constipated he wouldn't have had anal gland issues. His stools were too soft to empty the glands. He's had a raw diet which blistered him, that's why I tried insect protein. However, he's now on a diet that suits him, his skin is 98% resolved & his anal glands are now good. With regard to the dehydrated veg, it was a topper to hopefully temp him. He does have fresh fruit and vegetables. He's on a fish based diet that has and is doing great. He's thriving & very happy. My vet & dietitian nurse are also very happy with him. It was the meats in the raw food that caused the hives. But thank you for replying ☺️
