I’m a single mum with 4 kids and I’ve spent the last 3 years recovering from the abusive marriage that I had been in for 12 years. I’ve started to regain my love for my garden, my home, and our little country life here with our ducks. I listen to your videos constantly (headphones in, while I’m working) to feel like I’m part of a little family or community. Thank you so much for the content you post. You’ve inspired me in many ways x

Yes, I don’t know my plants or my flowers… It would be helpful/educational if, as you walked through the garden you pointed out the flowers and plants and gave us their names… Because I don’t know what I’m looking at!🧐

Inside person here. I have a very nice garden that maybe I go out into for 20 min a day and that is enough for me. Do not enjoy maintaining it so I pay someone to do it. Do like to grow veggies in pots on my deck but in the end I am a fall winter spring person who cant wait for summer to be over. You have a very nice garden but cant wait for the decorating videos and love your recipes the eggplant parmesan is the best I have ever eaten.

Salvia is something I must have in my garden - grows continually all summer - some of the first to flower in the spring. They are covered with bees and butterflies, flower several times during the summer with huge waves of flowers and have tons of babies under their branches to give away to visitors. They come back every year down here in Florida and come in several colors I haven't ever seen pests on them or diseases, either. I also love having fennel growing for the butterflies to lay their eggs upon and for evening tea. The music of your birds is so calming and beautiful. What a magical place you are creating. Loved your tour.

@6:42 the blue "beebalm" is actually a perennial bachelor's button (centaurea). Beebalm is a monarda, in the mint family so square stemmed, but does have a similar looking bloom to the centaurea.

Beautiful garden tour... I love it. We got hit hard with cold and wind here on Whidbey. Our pear, apple, peach and apricot pollination were all affected. So very little fruit on the trees. We hadn't eaten much of my canned fruit yet, so I'm going to hold it for next winter... especially now with the food prices/shortages. However I noticed that the berry type bushes are doing very well... loving the rain. Guess it will be the year of the berries instead!

Oh, I’m so sorry you lost your apricots! That is sad. My husband saved ours(were in SW Idaho, so kind of close) by putting both of our bbqs out under the tree and also a diesel heater he rented. It saved maybe half of them, so I’m thankful. I also sprayed the tree with something called KDL that I got from a horticulturist friend. You might look into it, it’s a dextrose/potassium(if I’m remembering right!) solution that changes the nitrogen balance in the blossoms to help them withstand lower temperatures. It doesn’t take much, but you might have to buy a large amount.

This is the first year I've planted flowers. The pics in the beginning are impressive. They have a lot of depth, and emotion was felt. That emotion for me was sad, I felt dead flowers, starving in the dark. I felt in the pics their beauty was sad; like a child that doesn't want their picture taken and shyly hides, their beautiful little face, behind moms apron.Very impressive
