He had a friend who was wealthy. His friend invited him to his cabin and also on his boat. We have had more wealthy friends that invited us to spend time with them and there lifestyle was much more lavish than ours. So they had vacation homes in different places and more lavish boats because they enjoyed our company. There is no impropriety in that. Justice Thomas is an honorable man. People throw dirt on him and say "Oh look he is dirty"

@@JmGmail Incorrect, but he is against what our courts utilized to protect those things. The courts arrived at those protections via Substantive Due Process (which is also what was used to protect interracial marriage), he is against Substantive Due Process, not necessarily the rest of that stuff. He could be in support of them while still agreeing that the court was legislating from the bench when it came to those decisions. Those things are put at risk by using a lens where Substantive Due Process doesn't exist, such as Thomas', and this is where the media spins him as banning those things. The real problem is that our legislature didn't pass those protections into law, and instead sat on their hands for 50+ years without legitimizing those rights overtly/explicitly. It was always on shaky ground unfortunately, It just so happens that abortion stumbled on it now.

*_We have 9 children, although all are young, the eldest girl (23) is about 2 minutes older than the eldest boy & she never lets him forget it. She is in training to become a Carmelite sister in Dublin Ireland. I have 2 sets of twins with one set in Ireland, one half of the other set also studying in Ireland, {to be a veterinary surgeon} while his twin will follow soon to become a hoof surgeon. Education is cheaper over there & politics don't enter the classroom leaving much more room for learning, so that suits us just fine. If I wanted an American-style education, I'd have them volunteer for the nearest political office [Brick & mortar office I mean]. Funny enough, my 3 kids in Dublin are living just minutes on the tram from my parents & siblings in a small suburb named Finglas, in that gray area between the city & the countryside. I've been living in Oklahoma since 08 when I got out of the army & took advantage of cheap property prices. I came to America in the 90s to save & buy some land to raise horses on. My point is that I came here to get the most [💲💲💲] out of the great education I received, only to see my children go back home so they are also educated without politics in the classroom, although Oklahoma is pretty good now, with CRT now banned in our children's schools. {Our kids have been home-schooled by us, but my wife deserves 99% of the recognition for this👏}. Anyway, I have 30 full-time staff on our 360-acre property & another 15 kids who come in the summer from Ireland. One young lady from Boston, where I lived & love the Southie of the 90s, told me she felt we didn't have enough females working on our ranch or equestrian center. So I met her in the middle, I removed the question that asks "MALE or FEMALE", so now we cannot be accused of hiring males purposely. We look at their skill set, but their willingness to learn is as valuable as a lack of skill in my mind. And guess what? We still have about 70% males. It's just how it is._* 🇮🇪 🇺🇸✝️✡️👮🏻🙏📿😇👑💙🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎

@@sandy3482 You're a fan of substantive due process perhaps? I've got to say, as someone who realizes it's importance in legal precedent, I have to agree. Two statues are bening built in DC dedicated to the first 2 women SCOTUS justices, O'Connor and RBG. Since O'Connor wasn't a liberal justice, God forbid she be singled out as an American pioneer by herself without sharing the spotlight with RBG. We have to include the first TWO women so that we can get a REAL woman (i.e. Progressive woman). Clarence Thomas is the second Black SCOTUS justice. Do you think they'll be clamoring to erect Thomas statues next to Thurgood Marshall? I have a feeling that the same people wanting to recognize RBG alongside Sandra Day O'Connor will consider only the first Black SCOTUS justice as an historic figure worth paying tribute to. The way Clarence Thomas has been treated by contemporary Progressives is disgusting. His jurisprudence has been incredibly consistent, honest, and highly influential. But because people don't like it, they cast Thomas as a unintelligent grouch. I'm glad Thomas has become more public the past decade so that his true brilliant, funny, and thoughtful self can shatter the bad faith caricatures that have come to define him in the mind of far too many Americans.
