yES! We adopted in1987. Annie had lots of challenges, her love was pure. She died in 2006 after 16 years of battling leukemia. Annie changed those she met. Teachers,, Doctors, people at church. Most of all, she SAVED her brother and sister from a life firmly set in the stuff of this world and her Dad and I learned about love from her. We all got much more from her thanwe ever gave, the world was better because of Annie and we are thankful we said 'YES' when we met her. I miss her.

A real sweetheart to be sure. People need to realize that we are all on this earth for a purpose. And yes, to those questioning Izzy's purpose, yes, her too. She blesses so many of us. Mostly you, as her family. I worked my entire career with adults with challenges much like Izzy. I would not trade any of it for a moment. I learned so so so much from my friends with these challenges in life. I can't even begin to list them. Thank you for sharing this precious video and reminding us all what a sweet blessing Isabel is.

We adopted a wonderful little Disabled boy. He was born premature which caused brain damage He had no control over his body and had hearing problems. We had 30 yrs of love, laughter, Adopting a special needs child is challenging, hard work but truly wonderful and rewarding .

Maybe I have commented with my other channel on this , but I have to say how touching this video is. I love how you created this video to encourage more people to adopt children. There are so many Christians out there who are bystanding and not putting their awareness on how they could help.Isabel is such a blessing. Her little giggles are like beautiful fairy bells. My love goes out to your family always . ❤ I can't adopt as my family would not help me , and I am single ,but I try to do my best to make this planet a better place. It is so good to see for me that you are doing this important work. Thanj you for all that you do.

Isabel is a gift from God like all children and deserves the best life she can have. I’m so thankful for the Felts family for adopting her and giving Izzy a chance to meet her milestones and have a great future. Watching her life transformed with all the love showered on her truly touches my heart and soul. I worked with special needs folks for 3 decades and my most valuable lessons in life came from them and I’m so thankful. May blessings to Izzy and her family for touching all of us with their indomitable love.

Why: Because all people deserve love and a home out of an institution (if possible.) We are called by God to "love one another" and 'the least of these'. I got goosebumps watching the video footage of homecoming at the airport!

I absolutely loved your recap of Izzi up til now. I am amazed at the quickness of her progress and growth. The love it shows and she knew from the moment you both held her she had found home. Each of those questions you posted at the beginning felt like a stab to the heart. My response would have been love binds and conquers all. My parents got asked those same questions after I was born, I was born a preemie of 24 weeks at a time when most hospitals didn't even try to help a baby if it was under 32 weeks. I give thanks every day to the MexicanAmerican ambulance driver who asked my mom if she wanted her baby to live and when she said a bit miffed of course, my mom wasn't even a year in the US,she married my dad when he was in the Army, he drove straight to the nearest Catholic hospital which was twice as far as the nearest hospital. Every child has a right to love and family.

A short introduction from me, a new subscriber. My name is Orenda, no typo. I have a total of 7 children. Two went to be with The Father during my 2nd trimesters of each of their gestation. One was born early but alive on Christmas Eve 1975. My Marjorie Rose only stayed with us 2 hours but she fought to live. Our Father blessed me with another daughter, turning 45 in January 2023, two sons ages 41 and 34. I had the blessing of being able to adopt an older child who had been born to a mom who couldn't give up the drinking while pregnant. I was awarded custody of her at a young age but adoption wasn't legally feasible until she turned 18 years-old and could give her consent. Remember however I was the only Mom she knew so there wasn't a problem. But, she had an I.Q. just above what's considered cognitively impaired and oppositional defiance disorder. When I was granted full legal custody of her at a young age we managed and was able to get her the help she needed and give her the love she'd never had from a mom. Why adopt a "special needs child"? That child literally saved my life after I developed a serious problem after an operation that only she realized how bad off I was and called the ambulance. She's now 41, had been married to a not nice man but has given me 2 wonderful grandsons who are a joy as young men now. The children I gave birth to sometimes take having me for granted. But not her. Having her all these years, watching her grow and achievements has given me so much. I tell people she's the child I didn't know I needed but God did and put me in her path. I've never regretted the decision to take her into my heart and thankfully me into her's. I've seen her through a divorce and lately the death of her bio-mom. She wasn't able to reach her in time to get her questions answered but she did get to say goodbye. BYW, all of my living children, biological and adopted are of mixed ethnic backgrounds. I don't use "race" as we're all one race, human. There simply weren't black/white children 45 years ago as there are today. We live in the SE, USA. Not always pleasant back then for our kids but one is a therapist in marriage and family counseling, another an executive sushi chef (yup a half black sushi chef 🤣👨‍🍳) another a hotel manager and one doing a heroic battle with diabetes and has lost half her foot. But she may not command a huge salary but that doesn't measure success in my mind. She's a fantastic daughter and mom. She's been blessed with having more common sense in her pinky than the rest of them altogether. Why adopt? Love, you'll be surprised that it's yourself who is benefiting the most from your decision to adopt. If I was healthy even if I couldn't adopt I'd foster parent. If it wasn't for Our Lord I wouldn't still be here as I've been battling serious illness for years but here I am. (Yes " I Am" intentional) I look forward to watching further vlogs. Pardon the length. OJ

I follow you on KZfaq but to find this of Isabell YIYI of her beautiful story put together is wonderful. You are a credit to both your girls and I hope in time you get your other adoptions as the countries open up to adoption. I hope others take the message you are trying to get over and think about adoption. We adopted our beautiful son who was just turned 3 but was like a 3-month-old baby due to the disabilities and previous life But as we saw with Isabel he came on to learn to seat, crawl the pleasure he gave us the cuddles, the love. Don't get me wrong, We had many a hard time with his ill health and thinking we had lost him a few times. He had an amazing life with disability having no boundaries with him being able to do the same as his brother and sister with a little bit of adaption. Sadly We lost son at the age of 15 when the good Lord saw it fit to call him home. If I had age on my side I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Thanks again for sharing your story xx

Ashley I agree with you that in most cases people don't have the faith it takes to trust God to help with adoption. However that's not always the case. I have ALWAYS wanted, deemed of, and when many tears about not having a child. I wanted A natural child, and ALWAYS wanted to adopt special needs kids. With all of the medical issues I was born with, I couldn't get pregnant. I've never been married, I have been on disability my entire adult life, and for the past 13 years I've had to live in a skilled nursing home, and I'm only 54 years old. I love you guys, and I've been following your family since right after you brought your sweet Izzy home, but your words stung just a bit. LOVE and PRAYERS ALWAYS from Gainesville Florida.❤🙏😊🙏❤

Trust me, we understand that there are many who truly can’t adopt for many reasons. We underand not over human being can adopt. However, what we also know and see is that there are Christian’s who CAN adopt but chose not to. They chose not to because of finances, fears, , selfishness etc Those are the people we are speaking to.

Well worth watching. Shes so flexiable. Love her ruffle pants. Your lucky you have support when your sick and need child support for a day or week. Most people cannot help as they are afraid or busy etc. Its one thing to have friends coming to parties and smiling when they visit but to really offer support when in need they tend to disappear. It's like a rude awakening-been my experience

We received Connie into our home from Nicaragua. An orphan at 15, she had to battle men. Her trauma were challenging. Today she is an incredible adult very much God-driven, the mother of four college graduates. She was the first of 11 adoptions with another on the way from Bulgaria. It is just saying YES to our crazy God (adopting at 81? “I’ve got your back!”). What a journey! Go for it, people!

She's such a blessing as all children are. If you hadn't adopted her she probably would have died like the others sadly. She was so tiny and underweight when you got her. Now she's walking and she has siblings that she can play with. She has the best life now and she's so lucky to have you all as her family. God is amazing how he works and brought this beautiful child into your family. She now knows what love is as she didn't get this in her home country.. Sadly to them she was a throw away. THANK YOU for giving her a loving family where she can thrive.
