How to Remove Tile Floor from Concrete

Thanks for uploading. The video was no nonsense and very helpful. I have a small bathroom to retile (12x5) and kept contemplating whether I should do the job manually with a drywall hammer. I also considered a rental from HD but after 3 rentals, the a cost of the purchase pays for itself. Like you are saying, getting the tiles up aren't so tricky, it is cleaning up the thin set that is going to take some time. Did you find the rotary hammer does the latter well and that you did up need to grind out the remaining thin set with a diamond grinder?

the rotary hammer drill with the chisel bit was fine for getting the tile and thin set up. the surface had some imperfections after though. we put vinyl plank flooring down and i can feel small dips in some places. if i could do it over, i would probably use the self levelling mixture. i didn't know about that stuff at the time. oh well, live and learn!

If you are ripping out 1000 sq ft of porcelain tile in a condo on a 1st floor would you use this rotary hammer or Makita HK1810 Power Scraper the Makita is about 480.00 dollars while this is only 200 dollars

Could you do this on bathroom wall tile? Or would it ruin the wall under the tile?

You'll ruind the drywall, it's easier to cutout the section and reinstall drywall

Got quite a laugh from this is a Red tool, there are also yellow green and blue ones and they all cost the same
