On July 1st, 2015, Gary Robbins - a seasoned and winning ultrarunner - started at Longmire, in the shadow of Mount Rainier, and attempted to set the fastest known supported time around the Wonderland Trail. Kyle Skaggs' record of 20 hours 53 minutes was always considered unbeatable. 93 miles, over 24,000ft of elevation gain, and record breaking heat. This day had it all. Could Gary step up to the challenge?

When I met Gary for the first time I felt a special kind of energy around him. After watching this documentary, it confirmed one thing: it's not about his aura, it's just the way he is: connected to nature with a real passion to run and experiment life at the fullest. It's always hard to describe how you feel when you run because it is a very intimate, personal moment. Gary + Ginger Runner have done amazing work here. This clip is not about competing, it is a very deep storytelling about a human being in quest of his own journey, an exciting challenge that he set himself and shared to his friends (and the rest of us !). Thank you for sharing this experience with us. If you could receive an award, it would be WELL DESERVED ! Gary: awesome focus and discipline. You can truly see authentic, genuine love of the act of running, his pure connection to nature and people around him. Love it. Thomas who loves getting lost in all your races...

Perhaps your best film to date. Several desires and a few pressing (as in against my bladder) needs were not enough for me to hit pause; totally riveted. For a very long time the 2014 Gorge 50k was my favorite Ginger runner film. But not anymore, it's this one. What a great movie! Great shots, great story, great people. I don't know Gary but based on this film alone I think he's incredible. A very big CONGRATULATIONS on this run!! It´s not only 93 miles but all the work that has been done before. It is not an easy challenge but not impossible either. Just like this one, whether smallest or biggest, it keeps us "running" for more and finding out what we are capable of. Although I am only starting on my running resume, I am familiar with the feeling of achieving something that has been cooking for some time. Again, CONGRATULATIONS to you Gary and the whole team! Hope one day I can achieve something as big as Mt. Rainier. All the way from Mexico, keep up the good work! Cheers.

Well, I'm training for my first marathon, this kinda helps...I loved running when I was young so should be a lot of fun. I was struggling to do 5k just a few short months ago, but after watching people like Gary and the ginger guy do 100k runs I just thought, if they can do 100k in a day the least I can do is 15k and so I have. Didn't feel nearly as tired as a I thought. But gotta get the mileage up, the marathon is next April and looks like I've got just slightly over 6 months to prepare. It is great these videos inspire others to run further, to be honest I found 5k harder than 15k due to mentally defeating myself but still completed them in training. 15k is a lot of fun, going to build it up to 21K in a month or so. My speed isn't great but my distance covered is increasing monthly. Thanks for the inspiration guys. Well done Gary.
