Three families all struggling to cope with their tearaway toddlers have been invited to live here and try and turn their lives around in just 6 days. The person who’s going to help them with this mammoth task is clinical psychologist Dr Tanya Byron.
The design and construction of the house has been completed in conjunction with a committee of childcare experts to make sure that it is a safe, fun place for kids to stay. Whilst also re-creating a realistic and practical home environment. The remote cameras and those located behind the 2-way mirrors allow Dr Tanya to observe the pitfalls, the progress, the tantrums and the tears, 24-hours a day, every day.
For the families chosen to be part of this unique program, this is make or break. For Dr Tanya Byron this is the biggest challenge of her career.

I'm in full agreement. I'm thinking I must be horrible because since she is already crying and screaming I'd be tempted to spank her backside so she had something to cry about. But then I put my children in their own beds from the time they were in cribs and if they had cried after I'd confirmed they were dry etc. they were left to cry. But then thats what everyone did. Nobody took their children in their beds, it just wasn't done like it is now.

This is cruelty, TO THE PARENTS. I have to wondering if a smack on the bum at repeat number 3, 4 or 5 might have put paid to the defiance problem and saved the poor parents from such torture.

@@IZaubermausI I hope you have the patience to deal with your own children's behaviour if you end up with one like this that is not only defiant but also bites and kicks and with whom, rocking and quietly blowing Shhhhh noises in their ears is not going to work. It might pay for you to buy some ear plugs in advance to protect your hearing from hours of loud, close-up screaming. Incidentally, none of the children, grandchildren or thousands of kids I worked with over 40 years have ever carried on like this child because they knew there were consequences for such inappropriate behaviour such as shown on this video.

This is the reason the parents were in the house in the first place..total push overs. My generation was spanked and we had respect for our elders. Too many little turds ruling their parents households these days because the parents are too p.c and irrationally fixated on the idea that if they discipline their child appropriately, they will somehow scar them for life. Parents these days are raising generations of bratty, overly neuroric children due to attitudes like yours.

lol torture? are you kidding? she was being a little brat biting her parents & being awful all because they wanted her to sleep in her bed? that’s what you have to do to get them to finally stay, keep taking them back to their bed every time they get up. there’s no form of torture happening to the kid. if anything she’s torturing her parents.
