this game chugged my Comp to buggery when i tried to records this and i had a bunch of glitches like being continuously chased ( so much so i ran out of ammo a lot) could never tell how many rounds it was going to take to get him to stop chasing for 5 seconds lol, great game tho.

Definitely the single best use of the Siren Head concept I've ever seen. I wish more horror games would do stuff like this. Really lean into what makes them unique rather than just make generic games instead.

Maybe in future a game might allow him to mimic the voices of the protagonists friends/relatives or maybe even record and playback the sounds of their deaths.

@@exist4046 i agree on the wendigo point, bigfoot however, just isnt well done in games, fr if he was completely quiet until you hear a hulkish roar behind you, followed by charging footsteps, or stalked slowly where you cant tell if the next breaking branch will hold the reapers toll, if your even lucky enough for that much warning, it would be a lot better

Honestly I disagree, the chase music gives a sense of panic and makes it hard to think. That kind of stress is great for a game like this, and while the ideas you gave may work well for viewers it'll only actually have minimal effect on anyone that has played more than a few horror games.

The sirens work even if he isnt chasing you, then when the music starts playing, you know he saw you. When you remove the music, it would be way better since you would have to listen to the stomps to tell

I agree somewhat. I think Trevor Henderson’s art should be respected a lot more than Siren Head was, though. Siren Head got super popular and basically became a meme to the point that it just wasn’t creepy anymore. I am glad, though, that this game could rekindle some of that original scariness.

There's a few Siren Head games that do this and it builds the tension so well. You know he's there but you don't know where and when he finally does get close enough to attack you're already terrified but still caught by surprise because he never go that close before. it's awesome.

I was just talking about this to a friend of mine! Like I can imagine how terrifying a highly detailed game of Slenderman would be! The forest would be darker, the shadows would be deeper and seem to move in the player's peripherals, the atmosphere would send your paranoia through the roof, and maybe, just maybe, the oddly shaped shadow you think is nothing but a tree stump has been following you, but you're not entirely sure. I feel like it would be interesting if the game had you start out in a house in a wooded suburb and then like, one by one your friends go missing and you have to trace their steps to see what happened (like one started seeing this thing appear within their dreams and started scribbling on paper, so the "letters" would be scattered around their house/room rather than outside and you have to piece it all together to figure out they literally ran off into the woods in search of this thing). It would be cool to add a day/night cycle where you can run around between houses any time, but the closer it gets to night, the more uneasy you become. Eventually it all leads to this cave/pit/whatever out in the woods where you find out that this thing was summoned by cult people, but along the way you start feeling like you're being watched, and the it leads into the beginning of this comment, lol.
