@@kevins1552 yes, the typical approach is to spot weld but that doesn't mean soldering won't work. Once you get the spot weld procedure dialed in you get consistent electrical connections that are more tolerant to shock and vibration, and reduce the risk of overheating the cell during the solder operation. Still, awesome work guys.

i love how simple these bikes are, yes there are complicated measurments and making a battery pack is tedious but the part count is so low that replacing / fixing things must be so convinent compared to diagnosing a gasoline engine and taking things apart. Although i guess repairing the damaged parts on electric bikes is not as easy in certain situations, a dead motor often is not repairable and you have to just buy a new one.

You can rewind a motor stator but people thing it’s rocket science. Sadly most of man has not mastered electrical and the harnessing of it. It’s all about precision, just as puting a block back together and adjusting valve gaps are. It can be done easy and cheap but people will not educate themselves further than the engine. Motors are useful outside of electric cars.

DIY builds that I've seen about 3+ years ago always had a poor range limitation and it's why I walked away from going beyond just research. Awesome build, wow! Learned much & read much after watching it, about LiFePo Batteries and capacitors in conjunction with controllers etc. 2 things: The dashboard cries after a printed one, secondly: the seat looks very uncomfortable, but maybe that's just me.

You guys our a blessing and amazing people to build a sick bike like that it looks better than a Harley man. Great job wish I had friends like you guys that do the same stuff I like and it blows my mind with this build. I will subscribe to you and congrats on getting it done even when some things I'm sure were hard. I have always wanted to build a electric bike but I'm on ssd Disability and never have the spare money. Glad to see people doing what they love to do to great job again.

That's a very impressive build there. Though, the handlebars seem to be a bit too slumped down and you didn't install a windshield for the display gauges. But I won't judge. I can dig it. Excellent job 👍🏻🏍️

This is cool as hell, I would give up 50 miles to allow for more bandwidth to design/style the body/batt enclosure. Very cool at a prototype.

Sweet. It's one thing to do a build in a shop full of machines/tools, it a whole other ball of wax to build with limited tools/experience. #respect Great job, fellas. Well done.

Bro, you guys did an amazing job, respect to you both 👊! The motor bike is beautiful, keep the good work 💪! U guys should B proud of yourselves as that work is phenomenal! U should put your own logo or name on the tank, Honda hasn't done anything as this is totally your work and U guys deserve your brand. I would customize it with a dragon or a tiger head logo something like that.

200 miles range is amazing, still, I would compromise the range for a lighter bike, but I guess that just depends on the intended use. Looks great, good job.

There’s still plenty of problems with “e” technology but that people are fitting it in their spare time speaks a lot about the viability. I’ve got an electric skateboard setup that hauls me and 30lbs gear 15 miles at 20mph. It’s fairly dangerous due to the physics but is otherwise incredibly reliable. It’s only problem is that it doesn’t deal with moisture, which you shouldn’t be skating in the wet anyway.

Did you build the skateboard yourself? if so, did you follow a tutorial for the skateboard or just really good with crafts?
