Howard Wimshurst Thought I heard you say it once? I just dropped out of Farnham, due to frustration with the tuition (Or lack there of), would you recommend Portsmouth as a good transfer for animation tuition? Or would you look elsewhere?

Oh i see, yeah the tuition at Farnham was quite loose, but I liked that. I did a foundation year in art and design there, after the quick introduction to all of the art and design disciplines, I specialized in film and animation (of course). But I heard from others that the degree course in animation was very... relaxed. To the point where students were not really getting their money's worth. I was at a young enough age where I got the year of education for free. Policies might have changed since then. I was really just buying time to make my own animations without financial incentive and the added lessons from the teachers was a bonus every now and then. I would definitely recommend Portsmouth's animation course to people who want to learn animation seriously. They work you to an early grave but the teachers and facilities are soooo good. If you give your work to a portsmouth teacher, they will always give you feedback. Always. I got a massive amount out of the course. It was hard work. I was just about able to keep the YT channel running, join some societies and have an average social life and come out with a first class degree... But I went HARD AS A M********** to do all of that! But remember, a teacher can't really make you learn, they can only show you the door, you need to be the one to walk through it.
