This song was released a few days after the birth of my son. I am his father, his only parent. He opened his eyes and looked at me when this song was playing. I was lost in those blue eyes,, the most beautiful boy, my love, my world. We will now forever, thanks to The Irrepressibles, exist there, in that moment. For me this song is about the flow of love from a father to his son ...and back again.

Beautiful lyrics which reminds me of someone from my past all those wasted years wish I was strong and had the courage to let him know how I felt at the time and although time as passed by living in different worlds wish I could erased these feelings.

This song is about the love between two men who were strong like soldiers, yet had the innocnece of youth. One of them did not survive the trial that came forth, and the other lived on with survivor's guilt. In his memory - his partner remains with the purity of boyhood.

I've always loved the Irrepressibles other songs "In This Shirt" and "Two Men In Love" , so imagine how pleased I was to discover this other gem from watching Young Royals, season 2 😍 And then to come on KZfaq and see that the song has such a beautiful music video! As YR ended, this song was printed in my head, I stayed there listening till the end, It was so emotional. It touches my soul, it relaxes me but still I feel pain: I imagine me, finally came out, loving a guy with all myself. That's the future I hope, what I need... why im so afraid of being myself? I can't say that I know all of the details or intended meanings--especially as I most often overlay my own life and experiences based on wherever I am--and whatever I'm feeling--in a given moment. More often than not my own years of military experience, my combat experiences, my being a relative child when I entered service, my crushes and loves before, during, and after that time and how they all interconnect through my memory of them. All of these thoughts are wound together by love and loss, hope and regret, nostalgia and pain, and many other things--to include constantly knowing myself as a boy and a man no matter my age, and constantly wanting to explore both of those selves as fully as I can for as long as I can. Songs like this remind me of that...

Last night, I found the funeral leaflet for my best childhood friend who died a few years ago. I realise now I hadn’t fully processed it. He was such a kind soul. Thank you for this and helping me remember all the beautiful times we shared together as children. I think I’d been repressing them until now and whilst it hurts I’m so grateful to have those memories back
