Here is the restoration of a completely rusted and seized up Colt vest pocket model 1908. This is a very small firearm that was no doubt carried during ww1 & ww2 as a last ditch effort to protect yourself. This small firearm is chambered in .25 Auto only a small amount up from the .22lr. Be sure to hit the subscribe button for more restorations and turn those notifications on. As always links are below and thanks so much for watching. P.S. WE STILL COMMENT TO YOUR FIRST COMMENT ON EVERY VIDEO. So keep the comments coming.

Приятно смотреть на работу профессионала! Все очень аккуратно. Вещь изящная, -моя мечта. Жаль что все же видны раковины от коррозии. Может надо было попробовать пошлифовать поверхность, самые видимые места? Спасибо за ролик!

I have used vibration from a air compressor the noisy kind to loosen up stuck gun parts . The one I have has a tray on top to keep extra parts . Just leave it there and run the compressor till you see rust oozing out but of course lube it up well .

My father was Wash State Patrol. He was commissioned in 1937 and was one of 2 troopers assigned to E Wash. He carried one of these .25 Colt Pocket Pistols in his jacket pocket until he retired in 73. It now has a place of honor in my safe. Its a Mod 1908, manufactured in 1928.

My bro-n-law's brother caught a guy messing around his truck and beer cooler back in 1969. He warned him once around 10 pm but caught the guy later the same night so he proceeded kicking the guy's ass. The guy shot the truck owner 6 times with a .25 auto but wound up getting the pistol taken from him and still getting a very severe ass whuppin. .25 ROUNDS ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR SELF DEFENSE or even executions at point blank range. I saw someone talking about a cop carrying a .25 as a backup gun. Cops usually have more/better gun savvy than that; must have been a desk cop or a Barny Fife type cop in a Mayberry town.

@@jamesadams8064 My father was not a desk cop or barney fife. He preferred to use his billy club over a gun. Served 30 years and only had to draw his weapon twice. Dont knock the 25. Its a good choice for a last ditch pistol. He also had a Chicago Chemical Co pen gun in 410 in his shirt pocket.
