Brings back memories of when I lived there during my HighSchool years. Fished the jetties alot. That was almost 30 years ago. Sometimes the bonita would get so nuts you could burn a treble hook on the surface and they would hit it.

That tide coming in is crazy, never seen it like that. Never seen bonita there either. Damn I need to go to my condo in the winter someday.

Yep, this is one of those vids.. you know.. the kind of vid that makes one start to immediately rationalize that they could spontaneously move down there and just give in to the epic salt life 😌

Now that was cool. Reminded me of a time I did some exploring and walked up on a small river and in the hole in front of me swam some 200+ salmon 15-30 pounds. I was all alone and never shared this spot with anyone. My arms were sore for days

Absolutely awesome action!!! Once in a lifetime kind of day you had! I'm a snowbird lucky enough to spend about 6 weeks each January and February in PCB and I'm wondering if there's any reliable information conduit by which a guy could learn of a good bite going on? Naturally I'd be willing to drive over to Destin for action 1/10th as good as in this video!! Keep the great videos coming...very inspirational!!

Only thing they would actually bite that day was the fishbites paddle, they would swipe at other lures but only get foul hooked.

@@TheLawlessTide perfect man you’ll probably see me out there. Just moved here 2yrs ago and I’m a big striper fishermen so the fishery down here is a big learning curve. But when it comes to Rocky/jetty fishing I got all the gear.

Do you just treat them like tuna when you eat them?
@TheLawlessTide2 жыл бұрын
I only eat em when I can bleed them and get them immediately on ice. Then treat just like tuna.
@mrrhodeisland9686 Жыл бұрын
From my experience fishing for these False Albacore up in my home waters everything from pink plastics, 1/4pm-1-1/4oz Epoxy jigs, and even top water spooks make for a real fun time.

Insane! But I had rather drop a fiddler and catch some heads. Old school....Bonita are good for chum and sharks. Are you left handed? Just wondering why you have the reel handle on the right side. Later and thanks for the non stop action. The water was beautiful and I know that is a hike to get where you were.
@TheLawlessTide2 жыл бұрын
We actually had fiddlers and tried. That's what was in the box we were carrying. Nothing was hittin em. thanks and thanks for watching
@ericbarnard39992 жыл бұрын
What kind of fish are them ??? 👍 y
@TheLawlessTide2 жыл бұрын
Technically they are false albacore tuna. Locally people call them Bonita even though technically they arent.
@floridabornoutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Little Tunny is their official name. In Florida they're called Bonita (not to be confused with BonitO). They're also known as False Albacore by fisherman around the rest of the country.
