In yesterday’s video, I identified some feelings that we may struggle with: sadness, hopelessness, fear, grief, doubt, addiction and isolation. These feelings are all common in small portions day to day, but for some of us, they overtake our life and incapacitate our spirit. That’s depression.

Scripture reminds us that "Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life. You stretch out your hands against the anger of my foes; with your right hand you save me. The Lord will vindicate me; The Lord will vindicate me; your love, Lord, endures forever - do not abandon the works of your hands (Psalm 138, 7-8, NIV).
In your troubles and your feelings, you are not alone. And you are not expected to deal with these feelings of depression, and the shame associated with them, on your own.
