What is impossible to translate into print is the flavor and texture of that meal. For those that slag off that the chicken was on steroids, go back and listen to how the Chicken Kiev was prepared. The breast is pounded out. The fact that the chicken was not at all dry is a testament to the chef's technique. All the comments about this restaurant being no better than pub food, there is no accounting for lack of taste. If I would be in Lee's position, I would have dropped whatever the hell I was doing for the experience of getting into this restaurant knowing that otherwise there would be no way of gaining entry. Excellent video!

Hard to vicariously taste the food however the nicest thing about this dining experience is that you basically own the table for the night. I am sure the prices have to be considered when you have the entire table but to me that is so rare and wonderful.

The finished products look like they're from an episode of the Galloping Gourmet, circa 1968.

That menu was pretty much the same we were cooking at the bistro in the 80's. Not knocking it, it's good food, but love Spanish food, and you may notice from my knick-name, love fish and seafood. £50 a head was a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. A good evening like that makes a holiday.

We were in the Canfali Hotel in early June which is a 2 minute walk from there. I guess it wouldn’t have mattered because of the waiting list, but thanks for the tip. Having been snobby about Benidorm for years I now love it especially the old town and the poniente side. Great video.

Visited Ians Restaurant last year just the 2 of us ,booked straight away for july this year for 5 this time all disappointed this time ,and won't book again ,staff are brilliant, none of us enjoyed our food ,and the portion of veg for 5 people no different from years previous for two ,definitely worth a visit.

Circa 1980, blast from the past, the menu, the décor. However it did look pretty amazing, and a chicken on steroids. What lovely owners.

I must say I'm a bit surprised the focus is on British food and not Spanish, but that said.....wow, that is definitely my sort of meal. Big, hearty portions with proper, good quality ingredients. The chicken kiev looks amazing. This sort of food might be old fashioned, but there's a reason it's popular.

Ians is the best! The food is amazing and so is the service. Such a friendly welcome and lovely surroundings! Lots of laughs too! Have been many times and it's a must do each time we go to beni! And yes the chicken kiev is like no other. Incredible!

Book your flights then book your table at Ian's. Top spot, everything is cooked fresh, you have your table for the evening, and the guys there are fantastic...we go everytime we're in Benidorm. Already booked for September and Xmas...love it!

Lee is having the life of Lee in Benidorm. The food looks delicious and at a reasonable price. The chicken Kiev is huge. You'd think it's a turkey . The cheese cake yummy yummy I can't believe that you can have the table all night, It's great, as it makes it a compatible eating experience . Chicken Kiev would love to tast it . Next time going to Benidorm will try a book a table.

We went 2 weeks ago and booked again. Really good food, lovely atmosphere and more than anything the staff are lovely. My daughter had the chicken Kiev and could not finish it , the video and your reaction still does not get over the size of it …. It’s like an entire chicken

The steak looked amazing👍 medium spot on, saute potatoes, my favourite. We made the vlog!!!!!! were at 10.27 (Family at the top table at Sherrys) & walking past the window at 13.33, dont forget to try Sue's Darts bar for the best burgers and unique bar set up

The bowl of veg same size for 5 of us ,and the potatoes really flat portion for 5 ,all 5 of us disappointed, steak full of fat ,waiter said no red ,but 3 steak all red .

I've been to Ians twice and brilliant both times, that pate is to die for!

Im going to benidorm next friday. I said to my fella "oohh im looking forward to some good food" my fella replies "me to" i said "whats the first thing we should eat?" The food at Ian’s looks absolutely delicious.

Benidorm was built to cater to the English. That is where all the money draw comes from. Cheap airfare, less than two hours to escape the crappy English weather and still enjoy all things English. English breakfasts, Sunday roasts, Fish and chips abound. A section of bars for the rowdies. Brilliant business strategy.

Menus a bit 1970's but if it works it works, and I'd rather have good hearty portions like those than this tasting menu malarkey that's popular now where you are paying good sovs for food that you need a magnifying glass to see on the plate. Gets my vote.

Looks amazing food, just worried about the portion sizes as i could easily polish off the steak , entire tray of veg and potatoes , plus the bread and a starter. As its pricey food i would be missing a course , probably starter so think i would be looking for macy D or local kebab house on way back to hotel.

That looked like a meal from the 1970's,however the fried Brie did look nice.I would have had the swordfish as it is not easy to get these days.The place is only for nostalgia purposes (i am in my 70's)
