It's pretty cool how the opposite happens with yoshimitsu. At lower ranks every yoshi is a db3 spamming retard that doesn't know what they're doing. At higher ranks you have players like eyemusician and the numerous yoshis that destroyed tmm lol.

This is very difficult matchup for Eddy as soon as MM realised you can d/b+2 to interupt any low or move from Relaxed. He's got some good lows which are Marduks weakness but d/b+2 is just too good.

Ok so I’m trying to main Marduk I love how he plays. Any tips and tricks? To give a baseline of my level, I’m juggernaut rank with him and I don’t have any mains that require a lot of technical skill such as Lee or Bryan. My other mains are Dragonov and Zafina. I know the basics of Marduk’s kit and how to use it in a simple way. I got to the rank I’m at mostly with tekken basics and matchup knowledge. Any advice or tips would be welcome. Seeing the main man play Marduk this well really made me want to step my game up I love seeing excellent players like this. Thanks to all ahead of time.

When I was getting demoted they put me against a eddie player and I was like “ok yeah I know Im going to lose.” But when I was going to get my rank back,they put me against two eddie players…I don’t rage quit though I’ll just switch to another game and try again In some months 😂😭.

as a Marduk main, you shoulf really work on VTD cancel. i struuglled a little bit (a lot) to master it BUT it will increase so much the potential mix up of your game plan and increase even more your combo damages

Vtsc not a problem but dashing into df31 always register as d3 or f3. Without dash I always register df31. What's going on?

@@addydiesel6627 after dash, you have to go back to neutral, maybe your problem is that you do not release f after the dash. Just practice and it will come naturally :)

I definitely think eddy is bottom 5. Eddys approach tools are barely mediocre at best(you can turtle him really hard), his pointless lack of a sidestep make him vulnerable to pressure you wouldnt normally be able to apply and while his backdash is great other top tiers have better movement without the lack of a sidestep and can still play unorthodox 🤷‍♂️ eddy is similar to hwoarang in that you have to learn the matchup, however, once you do learn the matchup unlike hwoarang you'll start to wonder how you ever lost to an eddy.

Eddy has to gamble with his health at high level because he doesnt really have any good pressure tools outside of basic jabs. All this gambling for a damage reward you could get from other characters without the crippled sidestep and with much more safety behind their moves.

That said eddy does take advantage on lack of matchup knowledge really well. I'm lucky enough to have a brother who has mained eddy since tekken 3 lol I have waaaaay too much experience fighting eddy at this point. Eddys only strong playstyle is keepout, however, hes vulnerable to the same tactic.

You have good points, but there are a good amount of eddys out there in top 8s consistently. I dont see how multiple players Can take a bottom 5 character to top 8s.

I think what happens is online he is trash. But i high lvl players have a hard time blocking his lows because his animations are super deceptive. Looks like he just moving and turns out its a low

I love eddy even though I get beaten up by him, idk why people hate him, he’s not “op” or annoying just sidestep eddy and as soon as he goes on relax just do a quick low that’s all and he won’t have any mixup but I play Bryan and as soon as he goes on relax DB 2 picks him, it’s not hard to beat eddy. Stop complaining

Eddy doesn't do well with grapplers and rush down...at all. also find breaking throws to be much easier offline vrs online but whatever. This Eddy player was way too impatient. Eddy is a straight up vortex char. They didn't get the proper knock downs to set up Oki to start the vortex. Since he doesn't have many safe moves and can't side step (ain't a black person on earth with no rhythm who can't side step...it's a criminal flaw...I digress lmao), you have to be patient. Long sets are a problem because if you ain't mixing up your flow chart for pokes you start to get parried and it becomes a nightmare. Also if u are an Eddy playing against Mardock...get up bro. I know we like staying on the floor and shit but you don't want this smoke 😅
