Terry had a difficult childhood with an abusive father and entered young adulthood lacking self-esteem. But in college, she was inspired to live a different life than her mother did. After years of independence and living life on her terms, she spent the last seven and a half years taking care of her mother, who had developed Alzheimer's. Her life was put on hold. But now it's time for Terry to pick up herself up again and get a shot of confidence to move forward.

Wow! I was the 5th out of 6 children and my cruel, abusive violent father was so disgusted I was born female he refused to even name me and my doormat of a mother who never protected me wouldn't name me either. She lived to serve him at the expense of her children and I can so identify with this woman's life experience. My siblings were as cruel as my father, and he never interceded on my behalf. In retrospect, I realize I was a beautiful, above average intelligence, artistic and unique individual but I was told I was ugly, unwanted, and worthless. Now 66 and feeling invisible, recently a housekeeping client of mine treated me to her wonderful hairdresser and what he did for me completely changed both my appearance & perspective.

The most beautiful woman I ever knew, I found out after we got close that her father used to call her "the ugly monkey" - and not affectionately. So bizarre. I think sometimes there is bitterness about a child's beauty and talent for various reasons.

Yeah you can see her pain as she told her story and I related to it so much that I could I mean I was like right there with her so she has the ability to tell stories that's a gift to draw you in to pull you in but the makeover is just 100% the best one I think I've ever seen on here and congratulations to her and to all involved everything about it was just incredibly beautiful

It’s truly a shame that she didn’t realize her worth. She’s beautiful, intelligent, interesting, adventuresome and articulate. It just goes to show how much a parent can destroy a child’s self-esteem. Her transformation was amazing.

Oh girl, I live w my 86 yr old dad who has increasing dementia and of course in denial. On top of that, he has prostate cancer and will b wearing a catheter for his remaining years due to his bladder no longer functioning. I absolutely know about losing our own lives while taking care of our parents. I could go on n on about my frustration however won’t and will just say “ You look absolutely fabulous! “ I would think you were an executive at a large firm. Kudo’s to you for both being there for your mom and…now taking care of YOU😍

A lot of us are dealing with these situations. My mother lives with me because she can no longer take care of herself, and my father is very sick from radiation treatment for cancer. I can’tpossibly care for them both simultaneously. We do the best that we can do and lean in to God for what we can’t do.

This one had me in tears. In her first interview, I wanted to hug her for her unhappy life experience. But when she came out all dolled-up, *there* was the badass! Honey, you so deserved this magic. You had it in you all the while.♥️

Susan I definitely believe she had all that inside she had just gotten beaten down by life especially caregiving that's a very difficult thing to do and specially if you're a 24/7 caregiver and for seven and a half years that's a long time and it being your mother that would be probably the hardest one to do I think but congratulations to everyone involved she came out like the gorgeous beautiful woman that she already was inside and out it was just enhanced and it great job stunning

The middle child is overlooked sometimes. I am glad she overcame an abusive background and it didn't seem to have an adverse effect on her. She is strong and now, a gorgeous person! She is a badass! 💪🥀🌻

I took care of my mom with dementia for 9 years...she passed nov 2021.. I feel your pain. It has been a long and hard recovery for me. I wouldn't have had it any other way. I'm like you I wouldn't leave my mom in her time of need. Beautiful makeover 🎉🎉🎉

This is the best makeover I think I've ever seen. What you did for this woman is amazing. You could hear us wanted to be before but it was in a tired trotted down voice. When she walked out of those curtains after they makeover there was no tiredness there was no downtroddenness she was just everything she had talked about but she looked it and she sounded like it and she lost about 20 years.

Wow wow wow wow! What a fabulous look!!!! I just lost my dearest friend to Alzheimer's, which was devastating. This lady has had a tough road, but she has deeper character than probably 90% of the people around her. Good for her! Great job Christopher - as always!!!

She was down in Providence she was beat down from the responsibility that wasn't that she didn't have that in her she forgotten how to show it and man when she got this makeover her eyes sparkle like the most rarest of diamonds and she looked absolutely stunning I think it's the best makeover I have ever seen on here so congratulations to everyone involved great job and a woman was obviously changed to the core so life altering experience you wouldn't think getting your hair done but do that but it does cuz it's more than just getting your hair done and cuz they give them advice about how to dress as well and I've never seen this it's been a while since I've watched this but him describing all the different parts that had one shoulder went down you know she has she had an oval shaved face and all that everything he said I could see except the shoulders and I was totally impressed that his knowledge and I'm sorry I haven't watched this at all so I forget everybody's names but change this woman to the core at her inner beauty just came forth it was there all along it just been a while

I could so relate: from being teased and ridiculed over my nose my whole childhood, to a father that never really made me feel loved, to the mother with Alzheimer's, to not really having any good love and relationship model, to never feeling enough... make all your dreams come true now Terry, and never ever think that you are not gorgeous, it just took somebody to shed the cocoon for you!

She was never ugly! I totally relate to her feeling that she was though. I always felt ugly. We grew up poor ,no clothes or shoes for school. We were not taught to keep ourselves clean or even brush our hair. The other kids made fun of us and it was horrible to experience. I never got over it. I am old and ugly now. However I am not bitter. You do amazing work, MakeoverGuy!

Having your own father shame you is something I can relate to. It's not only abuse (these days probably classed as emotional and child abuse) it's crippling emotionally and heart breaking. I'm also quite sure it sets you up to accept bad behaviour in personal relationships. I hope your inner child is free from that hurt. Mine is not my father was and still is cruel beyond words.

This is a huge improvement in cinematography and story. I like the focus on the subject instead of the makeover. This could be further developed to interview the subject in natural settings, like her hotel room, etc. But it is already a huge improvement from the old format. Felt more like a documentary than a makeover infomercial. Fantastic job.

What a beautiful ,articulate, woman. She has a lovely expressive face , especially her eyes, and now her hair, makeup, and wardrobe bring out even more of her hidden beauty!! Christopher has such a wonderful aesthetic eye and makes an educated , detailed diagnosis .... What a magical transformation of the outer woman , but what I find most beautiful about this lady, is her heart, filled with kindness and compassion 🌹 Bravo to Christopher and his team for giving this lady a part of life back... that was sequestered because of old childhood pain and traumatic life occurrences.. let the healing begin!! 🌹

❤️ Feeling the love in your words and appreciate you sharing them here. Wow .. just beautiful. I feel like we all, like Terry, throughout life have had experiences that have felt like a knockdowns. I have come to find that all the women who come to us have acquired courage and strength to see and feel those knockdowns - to embrace those moments with love, in their own way, throughout their lives. It's absolutely amazing because then they share, with us and the world, that they have taken those type of moments and utilized them as opportunities to rise... It's like these women come to us to celebrate all the moments they have been given - to celebrate life (internally and externally) 🥰😍 Thank you for all the love you have shared. I love this woman. And I can so relate to her. She’s about 10 yrs. younger than I, but so much about her family and childhood, from the volatile father who put his kids down, to the mom who never stepped in to protect the kids from the emotional abuse their father heaped upon them. Mine was a military lifer, and was very quick with the hand or belt. And I, too, was a middle child. But, she has lived a fuller life than I have. I had tears in my eyes when she spoke about losing her mom little by little. I know how heartbreaking that can be. But…WOW!!, She looks fantastic! Great job! I love the hair!! I wish her all the best. You go, girl, and be the best badass you can be!! 👍🏼💙

AMAZING! I loved the whole body analysis! She now looks like the executive she is! I also was amazed at how similar our childhoods were, including the explosive anger of my father as well as the doormat mother I had. She never protected us children, and it was obvious that she wished she had never had children. Females were nothing in our household, until our hormones changed our bodies. Then, my sister and I had to fend off sexual advances from our disgusting father! I can't even talk about it. Also, the oldest sibling was a brother, who was just like our father, and tortured the rest of us. I decided as a child, that if I could survive living with my family until I grew up, I would not be like my parents. I would make something of myself so that I could take pride in me, knowing that I overcame everything I was put through! I made it, and I am very happy for this lady that she did, too! I want to say to her: Keep up the good work; plus-you look FABULOUS, and, yes...sexy, too!!

She looks stunning, and confident (badass). What came across in her interview is her openness to experience and her intelligence, and Christopher, you matched her look to that. Didn’t hurt that she has so many lovely features that you could highlight. There is nothing wrong with a prominent nose, a button nose, or any other kind of nose, for that matter. These are our distinctive features that make us uniquely beautiful.

Love that woman's energy! She's strong and yet not afraid to show her vulnerability. She already had good facial features au natural so this make-over just enhanced the positive elements. Love the outfit choice, it's really flattering to her silhouette. This is one of the most interesting story I've heard so far on this channel.

Love these. I am 69 years old. Really struggling after cancer. Losing my hair which I loved. Then having a colostomy. Sometimes I don’t know who I am in the mirror. These bless my heart and give me hope.

This makeover brought out all of the beauty in an already beautiful woman. Terry is exceptional in so many ways and this makeover shows an incredible woman who is full of compassion and sensitivity and made her glamorous. The analysis of Terry's features sounds more like a cosmetic surgeon and wardrobe consultant, but basically, Christopher's musical background is displayed like a musician working on technique as a means to an end to bring out the best qualities of a performance. That performance is Terry looking stunning. It takes a team like this to make a symphony! Everything and everyone working together.

I didn't know quite how to put it but yeah the analysis of her features was exactly like a surgeon I'm doing what this guy's knowledge is phenomenal and Terry this beautiful client came out and everything that was inside of her came out all the beauty that was inside and not only was she empowered I believe it was a life altering experience where whatever she does with the rest of her life is going to be phenomenal it's going to be the reward for seven and a half years of constant caregiving for you know one's own mother and the other thing she talked about losing a job and all that everything she really said from I guess birth to that makeover just I related to so much and I was so glad she shared her story I cried I still got one tear in my right eye but wow I'm so glad they share this on KZfaq it's really phenomenal and I'm impressed and I probably already said it but I think this is the best makeover that's been done on this KZfaq channel phenomenal stunning

I can sooooo relate to her story if moving home to take care of mom who has dementia…. Literally living there for 7yrs was the hardest most stressful and heartbreaking experience I’ve had in that juncture of life. This really encourages me to know you’re not alone and how imperative self care is

One of the best transformations I have seen Christopher do, in my humble opinion. Terry still looks like herself, her hair is something she can do and she does not have to cover up her midriff any more because of the clothing choices she has been taught. As for her make up... perfect. Just gorgeous.
