1/200 USS Enterprise CV-6 Build Video 16

Time to add the major bulk heads to the Hangar Deck of our 1/200 USS Enterprise. The problem is, Trumpeter did not leave us any locator points for us to glue the pieces to. So we need to add them ourselves. This will fix the fit issues that I think a lot of folks have had with this model. Getting your "foundation" right, will ensure everything else fits down the road. Or at least we can hope so.

Great work on that bulkhead Ben! I remember having a lot of issues with that one, but I also added the Pontos PE before installing these. So how we will be doing that afterwards, I will be looking forward to seeing 🙂Stay safe!

@ltgray2780 single cut. It’s an older studio with a kind of lemon finish and P90’s. But I decided that not having binding on the body was really holding it back as far as appearances. So I routed a groove for the binding and fitted it. I have to glue it in place still and touch up the finish.

Man I appreciate your craftsmanship but watching some videos is painful... This is modal model and some of the things you spend time trying to correct are not necessary or relevant to the structural integrity of the build...it will never be seen by the viewer....nor will anything cave in on flight deck when you walk by it... But I learned alot from you especially the color of the Hull..I built this exact kit a few years ago and the only thing I'm not happy with is my hull... I want mine to be a blue like yours..I appreciate your videos
