Audi TT / TTS / TT RS Coupe and Convertible (2015-2024) Buyers guide for common problems with the 1.8-litre/2.0-litre and 2.5-litre models. Avoid buying a cheap broken MK3 Audi TT with software issues and problems if you have already bought one then you can use this as an owner's guide on what to look out for. Avoid the mistakes of buying the cheapest broken TTS or TTRS as a track car or fast daily only to have large bills and spend more time looking at your 8S Audi TT than driving it. You may be attempting to fix the Audi TT with parts known to fix weak points with our review. This buyer's guide covers the Audi TT from 2015 Audi TT, 2016 Audi TT, 2017 Audi TT, 2018 Audi TT, 2019 Audi TT, 2020 Audi TT, 2021 Audi TT, 2022 Audi TT, 2023 Audi TT, and 2024 Audi TT in all trims including the 2023 Audi TT Final edition. Audi TT owners may also find our guide useful and informative as we list common faults and problems to keep a look out for.
The MK3 Audi TT is a reliable vehicle although some known faults and problems remain and should be avoided when looking for one to buy.

The Audi RS with a 5 cylinder engine is already a modern classic and with the chance of a 5 Cylinder Turbo RS car looking unlikely to ever appear again this is almost certain to become a future a classic.

A fault I've found with the TT is a smug sense of self-satisfaction: something to watch for when purchasing.

Owning a 2016 Audi TT with the 230hp engine tuned to 350bhp at stage 2 I can say its a great package with good fuel economy. But agree on all points service intervals should be shortened as i change my oil every 5000 km and inspect things more regularly. Wanting to upgrade to TTRS soon.

Got a 1.8 Mk3 and so far, touch wood, it's been pretty much fault less. Only major issue I've had is a water pump replacement. Remapped to 265hp and 300nm, with other modifications, and no dramas.

Been to look and test drive a mk3 TDI s line ultra in black. It was gorgeous, I’m on the verge of going back to buy. I currently have a Mk1 225 Quattro which I’ve owned for 20 years as a 2nd car.

The biggest gripe for me is the leaking roof liner. The water dripping into the side of the boot is appalling and should've been fixed from mark 2 to 3.

I can see Audi changing its mind about bringing out an electric tt... no one wants electric cars .so thats gonna be a dead duck. Makes sense to continue with the tt for a bit longer. I dont want to buy an electric car EVER .

Is that model with no infotainment display a production model? That looks so good.
