I actually love the webcam integration. I never use my webcam and I know most other people don't either. Having that privacy is nice.

Excellent review. Even though the MateBook looks similar to the MacBook, I want to see more Windows machines with a premium design like this.

dude... basically every major OEM has a premium design line, like this on windows machines.... Every Surface, Dell XPS, HP Spectre, Lenovo Yoga 9XX.... True that the Matebook takes some design cues to the next level, but everybody compromise on something.... I am a Surface Book user, and I love the power, versatility and overall performance of it, but the main compromise is the thickness when its closed due to the gap. Dell XPS has a great balance and it is mentioned to be the best laptop on many sites, however, the camera placement is bad. Lenovo, HP and many others suffer from bad or tiny sound.... Even the MacBooks themselves compromise on user experience so that they can deliver fashionable designs... but the keyboard is one of the main criticisms...

@@buccob Most windows labtops have trash keyboards compared to macbook. Lenovo is the best tho.. But then again they have a shit trackpad. Its good for windows labtops to start copying the macbook chassy.

Not exactly "copying", but creating features that serve similar purpose. After all it is the design Apple has created, and although I am a PC guy, I would not like having a premium notebook that "takes a lot of clues" from another manufacturer.

This is actually a great idea! The top middle edge of the screen is seldom used for anything important.

If it did an Essential Phone style super minimal notch then I could live with that. Wouldn't be a problem in media viewing since the 3:2 screen would have letterboxing and most programs would have title bars so it wouldn't get in the way of daily use either. They could have even then thrown in Windows Hello facial detection as well.

Please continue to present pre-released products. It was a pre-released Surface laptop review that induced me to watch out for it. Best laptop I've ever used. (Average: 2 laptops per year.)

Your videos are great they cover all aspects of the product in a simple and intuitive way also the reviews are unbiased which I like. Keep making videos. The fact that the device checks all the boxes that I consider while buying a laptop is good enough for me. Now it has design ques form a macbook but it's fine no big deal as a matter of fact I even prefer the macbook style approach. 1] It's build is impressive. 2] Display is sharp as well as 3:2 which I prefer. 3] Great keyboard and trackpad with good ports selection. 4] All day battery and good performance (both cpu, gpu and ssd).

really considering buying this. I haven't used a webcam in a laptop north of 5 years so I prefer it to be hidden instead of having to put some kind of security tape on it. It reminds me of my 13 inch MBP except runs windows. I'm sure that's what they were going for and I prefer windows now to Mac osx. This checks a lot of boxes for me and hope to score a deal before the end of summer.

Can you charge the laptop over the thunderbolt port so you can use egpus? And are both usb c port thunderbolt ones? Would be stupid if they would limit their ports without any reason.
