You forgot the construction worker, the jardinero, the farmer, the field worker, the mechanic, the lazy employee. Never the business owner, never the intelligent student, never the boss, never the politician. Latinos are always portrayed as the joke or the villain in Hollywood and it's saddening.

Carmen Miranda was over the top. Kate Del Castillo & Damien Bichir should be snagging way better roles than they have been. Both of these two could play a doctor or a FBI agent on a HBO or Showtime TV series not just a stereotypical Mexican crime associate.

Nothing infuriates me more than Latino stereotypes specially in Knives Out. White liberals saw it as a progressive movie but honestly all it does is repropiate stereotypes, create the victim Latina that must be saved by a white hero. Also, hated how the family never remembered where she was from. Make more movies with successful Latinos. Lawyer Latinos, Science Latinos, and show their stories. Latinos are the largest minority, we’re more than just gardeners or maids. If you do talk about gardeners or maids humanize us and truly tell our story. Stop trying to be progressive at our expense. Really hated that movie.

I'm contantly being sexually objectified. I f*cking hate it! I'm more then a sterotype. I'm artistic, intelligent, and funny. And people need to stop asking me "what are you" I'm Mexican American that doesn't know how to speak Spanish.
