Kate getting shot and Nikki still being mad is just so HILARIOUS! 13:20 I love Kate as a character, don't get me wrong, but that was comedy gold...

I am not ready to do this... really, I'm not. This is the kind of episode that makes you regret not doing reaction vids all those years ago just to immortalize your immediate feelings to an instant classic of television.

1x2: Sawyer accuses Sayid of causing the plane to crash. 6x14: Sayid blows himself up to save the others because of Sawyer. Suisayid!

There is just no way that anyone could leave their lover to die like that in that situation. To live with that by yourself for the rest of your life would be way too much of a burden. He couldn't tell anyone what really happened. And he could never tell his daughter, "She was trapped in a sinking sub and I just left her to die.".

the saddest scene in this show, I CAN'T FORGET the first time I've seen it 10 years ago.

This was an episode of sacrifices... - Sayid sacrificed himself so that everyone else could live and to help guarantee the smoke monster would never leave the island. - Jin sacrificed himself to try and rescue Sun and to make sure she would not be alone when she died. - Sun was sacrificing herself to make sure Jin would live and their daughter would have at least one of them in her life. - Frank sacrificed his career as an extra on Burt Reynolds movies.

Props for Matthew Fox on his role! His face and crying near the ocean it's so moving! Get's me everytime! I almost can feel his pain...all he has been through!

This episode has one of the best scripts in the whole series... how everything has been perfectly set up to put our characters in a situation where Jack finally knows exactly what's going on, but no one believes him (parallell to season 1 Locke). The interaction between Jack and Locke in the flash-sideways is also so well interweaved... And finally, the episode explores one of the most interesting thematics: "trust" or "faith". Our heroes are defeated and broken by one of the longest cons ever in the show...

Life and Death by Giacchino always hits hard. Always. Hauntingly beautiful.

God, Nikki and Rana's faces. This show man. It's special. We all sob at the Jin & Sun scene and them breaking down at the end (God when Hurley goes) but that Jack and John conversation is also heartbreaking and so well done in every way.

The girls are going to absolutely lose it during the finale. I feel like they've loved Lost more over time, whereas the Hogwarts team is loving the show less over time. Papa Brian, if you're reading this, it's not your fault!

I want to point out that in the first episodes Locke got his legs back after the plane crash while in the sideways he lost them because of the crash, I just realized

I remember watching this episode as it aired. I was in a room with 5 other grown men. We were all bawling like babies by the end. This show, man. This show.

Don't know if you guys discuss this in future reactions, but we already know that Eloise knows so much because of Daniel's journal that she got off him after she killed him in 1977, which would have documented a lot of important things about stuff that happened after that up to 5x14 in real time (2007) since Daniel had been on the Island, hence her line to Penny "for the first time in a long time I have no idea what's going to happen". She understands the nature of the Sideways likely because she's already awakened and she warned Desmond off from pursuing Penny because she was afraid of Daniel moving on with them likely because she hasn't had enough time to fix their relationship, similar to Ben's reason to staying behind, which was implied by her line to Desmond "are you going to take my son?" While her character's nature has a more complex explanation in the real world, her Sideways explanation is more human and simplistic, while presented to the audience as similarly confusing as her first appearance back in 3x08; the writers did a nice subversion of her character in the Sideways.

certainly one of the more depressing hours of television. This was a total Joss Whedon move man. It reminds me of a similarly positioned episode of Angel in their final season.

I will never forget the writers for not putting "Its never been easy" in Jack's lines responding to John in flashsideways.

When people tell me they couldn't get through Lost, I think of intense scenes like this. It's unfortunate that some people couldn't stick it out to see how great the show can be.

This was the one episode of lost where I took a week break. I couldn't even continue. It killed me. This, Penny/Desmond(The Constant), and not Penny's Boat are the 3 episodes that tears me up every time... I just wanna give all 3 of you guys a hug. This episode is tough

Person of Interest, Fringe, The Good Place, and/or The Leftovers are all really good options post-Lost.

Locke, submarines and C4 equal the cleverest and cruelest of S6 callbacks. I always sob at the end when Jack sobs. Matthew Fox’s performance in the last season is sublime.

Nikki- I used to be the biggest Kate hater.All she was good for was getting captured and being in a love triangle. It was season 5 with her whole mother arc thast I actually started loving her. But I do get your mindset. I think the writers really restored her character in the later seasons.

I will comment each week from here on out how much I want this trio doing Person of Interest and/or Fringe. Both would be excellent choices.

I remember reading the reason The sun and Jin reunion was so underwhelming because they were saving the payoff for the sub scene

Something just hit me, I think their is a parallel of Syed because I'm rewatching it with my sister and in S1 Syed friend was suppost to blow himself up and he asked him to do it with him, but we all know that was a setup and his friend killed himself and he regretted it. Maybe that was his redemption to safe everyone?

I’m rewatching Lost for the first time since it aired. This loss made me cry so much originally and I’ve just rewatched today and cried again. It’s so sad, but they at least died together. Easily my favourite couple on lost.

Waited so long for them to get to this episode. Still cried even when it's all clipped... Ahh Lost is amazing!!

This is the first time I ever cried due to a TV Show. It truly felt like the beginning of the end.

Jack crying at the end...Fuck, what a good actor. We need Matthew Fox back in something. If Lost is ever rebooted (god forbid), make Matthew Fox the new Island Ghost/Jacob.

You should definitely react to Person of Interest as it's an amazing show. The showrunner was Westworld's Jonathan Nolan and the composer for the series was Ramin Dwadi.

OMG, honestly though, when you meet Richard, you should really greet him by saying "It´s good to see you out of those chains!" .... Just don´t tell him, I had dreams about Lost going on and shit happening like him fighting some "Island Golems", okay!...

Person of Interest is an AMAZING show. Jimmy Macram watched it and I think he really liked it... It is a little slow to start off, but the show just takes flight in season 2. And they stick the landing with a brilliant finale. 9.8 on IMDB and completely deserving of that rating

According to Rana at 27:20, one of the last things Sayid ever did was admit to Jack that he was into Desmond.

That crying of Jack at 20:13 crushes me every time. Man, that is really one of the most sincere whipping I've ever seen on TV. Matthew Fox is one hell of an actor.

I can't imagine what Nikki's reaction would have been had Hurley died also this episode.

I get that this is a devastating moment but did Rana seriously just suggest they open a window, let water in, and toss the bomb out?! Does no there know how water pressure works? Edit: I just remembered that they also said something similar about why Charlie didn't just let the water flood the entire underwater base and swim through the destroyed porthole.

Even years later I still cry like a baby at this episode... after all that searching for each other, they die like the next day.... heart breaking.

I just realized that Locke was able to walk again after a plane crash, and in the flash-sideways Locke lost his ability to walk after a plane crash...

Very sad episode, but a great one, and very good acting from multiple people. Matthew Fox and Terry O'Quinn had great chemistry together. The only thing that bugged me, was Sayid 100% could have thrown that bomb lol. Interested in seeing their reaction to the next episode.

Look at this. Even Suraj teared up during Sun and Jin's death scene despite the fact he's seen the episodes before. I still tear up everytime I see that episode. And I THOUGHT 6x09 "Ab Aeterno" started answering Nikki's question about what the island is based on Jacob's conversation with Richard during Richard's flashbacks. The next episode will dive much deeper into the Island's mythology.
