We're bleeding for blue... are you? 💙
The 'Bleed4Blue' campaign started after the stabbing of retired Detective Sergeant John Breda at Maroubra on Australia Day in 2018. That day, he needed more than 100 bags of blood to save his life.
In support of the campaign, John headed down to the NSW Police Force Academy alongside his former boss, Detective Inspector Yeomans, to talk to the students about the importance of donating.
With 1 in 3 of us needing donated blood or blood products in our lifetime, the life you save could be that of friend, family member, or colleague, just like John.
