I often joke (but it's actually not a joke) with my wife that if she would be called home to be with Jesus, (cause that's the ONLY way our marriage is ending -lol) I would not marry again. Marriage is such a beautiful thing and equally so, it's a challenging thing, I'm really enjoying all that comes with my wife as we build our marriage and family together, and if I'm honest, I would not want to do this with anyone else ever again. But that thinking can definitely be challenged and as a Christian, I KNOW this thinking won't hold any ground.
My friend Julz's decision to get married again after his divorce has made me come face to face in real-time with my thinking as expressed above. You might be like me or maybe even opposed to marriage completely, I think this story brings so much clarity and a fresh perspective to help us think slightly differently about marriage and it's importance. Enjoy!

This was so good!!! I was alerted to this podcast by a friend, with the intention of just passing it on to my husband, but I'm so glad I decided to watch it for myself. I have so much respect for the guest, for the way he talks about his ex wife with such respect. It shows maturity and I guess Christ-likeness as well. I'm so happy that he got a 'good one this time around'. You can tell that he has such a kind heart and I'm happy he has found someone that he's 'equally yoked' with in that department. Love how he says he's not comparing the 2 experiences. Enjoy your wife sir and get those twins in the name of Jesus! (P.S. I wouldn't get married again either so pray for us beloved that it works)

My favourite aspect of this podcast is how we're being exposed to "normal husbands" (at times well known people seem like the best option) but no, imperfect men who are striving to be good husbands, no matter how much they fail. This is very encouraging

Love this so much! And that's the trap hey, well known people are just normal people who have been given the platform to curate and display the best parts of themselves to the point we (and sometimes they) think that's their whole selves. I think we can and should take better cues from people who live and navigate ordinary lives just like us where no one is looking or keeping score.
