On attempt three, I finally created a light that looked good! The process isn't actually that hard, given you check the one thing I forgot to check...

Showing failed projects so other's can learn is very noble. I'm about to dive into the world of CNC woodworking and I know I'll have to face a learning curve for that. Thank you for the video and I'm now both a subscriber and a fan.

First off not every project is 100% successful and once in a while we fail. The important take away is you didn't give up and your drive to create is strong. Secondly this is the second video I've watched on your channel, the first was your story about accidentally cutting off your thumb a year ago! DANG GIRL... you're tough! I had to jump to your most recent video to check if your thumb survived? I was relieved to see that it appears to have healed? Keep creating and doing what you love.

I am going to guess and say... The plug you cut off is for chaining those strands of lights together and cutting it off may be the problem. You could try wiring a spare socket to the ends you put wire nuts on and see if that does anything. Or the lights themselves are bad, you could try moving the working light bulb to other sockets (if possible) and see what happens. Or the strand is just defective and time for plan b.

there are battery-operated light bulbs with a remote control - just switch them with your bulbs and you are good to go without cutting or rewiring or doing anything else

Watching eight months later - morbid curiosity from your thumb video - Go, thumb! Could you ditch the original lights and wrap fairy lights around the ball amongst the dowels and cover it with some sort of batting to make a lighted cloud with rays look? Spray paint the dowels gold first?

Hello. My 1st time here and you're great. I made one of the jute balls ugh. I love it finished, getting to that point was a pain. The one thing I did was I drug the jute through a bowl of watered down glue. Basically mod pog. ❤️✝️🤗✝️ I'll be back!!!(

Aww, I'm so sorry that those lights didn't work, I know what it means when things don't go like you need (me I had a broken foot in two places and a head trauma because I didn't thought of taking all the precautions before I tried to repair my wardrobe alone... Well, I won 3 months of all the inconvenience caused by the accident (I call it stupidity) and I was told at the hospital that when I faint I could had fall into a coma) . Planning is really important and life can be very short... Lesson learned! Take care, please do not try to fix electric things if you are not sure of what to do! 🌷
