I don’t know how much tension is on the joints but you could try CA glue with the spray on drying accelerator in the future for things like that.

So I saw your video from June 2021 it looks like your thumb is about back to normal in looks. Did you loose much in movement, and touch? Glad to see you are back in the shop.

Kudos to you and that looks fantastic! Yes, with so much labor involved buying the light might have been better; however, if everything were perfectly aligned it might never move and then what fun would that be for the cat? Nice cleat wall in your shop. Peace!

I think you did a wonderful job using what you have available. It looks great and remember, it is all about the joy of creating something with wood, with your own creative ideas and hands, not in as much as how much time it takes to make it. As a tip from a seasoned wood worker, for future gluing situations, you can combine your glues. Using the wood glue as the main binder and CA glue to hold it together while the wood glue cures. I do like using hot glue in some projects, but it has its' place and this project I think would have benefited using the CA glue instead. Just my thoughts.

I’m so glad you came through your table saw trauma as well as you did. I went to the ASSH site and found their list of members in my area but not a list of hospitals that have a 24/7/365 expert on call. Can you provide more detail on where you find that info? I would like to keep that in my shop.
