I had Colon cancer two yrs ago and had a big tumor had to have surgery. It was stage 2B Then two months after that surgery I was diagnosed with cervical cancer and 7 months after the first surgery I had to have a radical hysterectomy. That was stage 1A But happy to say I'm now cancer free!! Praise God!! ✝️👑🙏😇♥️

I don’t think we push through symptoms because we are ignoring the warnings. For me it’s because when I tell a doctor they just brush it off and say everything is fine.

I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in juni '18 at 53 years old. For many months before that I was also exhausted and if I told people, they said ; it's normal, you get older. Then my bowel movements get different, with diarrhia and obstipation on and off. One day there was a big plonge of blood in the toilet and that moment I knew there was something serious wrong and I said to my two sons, I think I have bowelcancer. I get to the doctor and she made an appointment for a colonoscopy. 3 weeks later after that I got my diagnose, stage 3 . Honestly, I was very relieved because I was thinking, if I have to live the rest of my live this exhausted, there is no fun anymore. The tumor was 6 cm long and was grown outside my sigmoid almost touching my uterus. They took almost all my sigmoid out and also all my lymfnotes in my belly. Chemo and radiation before and after the operation. Luckely till now, I am cancerfree but I have to go for ct-scan and blood analyses every 6 months.

Thank you for sharing your story, Angelica. I just want to say something about 'family history' since you mention that your grandmother had stomach cancer. That IS 'family history'. I lost my twenty years old daughter to colon and liver cancer, inherited from her father ( who died at 42) and a grandmother w. stomach cancer. I did a lot of research and spoke with many specialists in Gastro-Intestinal (GI) cancer because I was told by local GI doctors that you can't have colon cancer at such a young age and refused colonoscopies to my children after their dad died. All my other 3 children were checked after my 20 years daughter passed and all of them had polyps, benign with the same prognosis to become cancerous. They continue to be checked now every 3-5 years. By the GI specialist this 'colon' cancer can expand anywhere in the body, mostly from the mouth to the annus (GI track), as well as in any other parts of the body. For your children sake check them when time comes!

I kept making appointments with my doctor and complaining soo they scheduled a colonoscopy and found 2 large polyps one in my large intestine and one in my lower intestine. The Dr said I went in on time as both polyps 100% would’ve eventually turn into cancer. You are correct, you know your body and when you feel off. Wishing you lots of love and happiness.

I ignored 3 years of “blood in stool” tests as I didn’t feel anything, till I had to do my 3 years colonoscopy in which they found a tumor the size of a ping pong ball. The weeks before the shock, I was getting just tired, but that was it. Successful surgery , no metastasized organs, preemptive chemo for 4 cycles and my first post chemo check this week. 10 x 6 monthly tests to join your status as being cured.

Few years ago my husband’s stool changed but he didn’t listen to me about and go to dr, well come January of 2024 he was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer and they started him with radiation and he did chemo pills morning and night, now he is doing immunotherapy which could go on for a while.

I have an inner voice also. My symptoms are ignored by doctors but I feel it. No one listens. Did you have a symptom that you never could empty your bowel. But had to go all the time. With different appearances of stool. Thin, thick! Runs, not, hard to go, quick pressure to go. Could not hold it from the pressure even with a small amount . Changes in color ? Feeling sick right before a movement . I’m not looking for symptoms but these are mine. Nothing black, No blood. Extreme Fatigue. But I feel I’m in a challenge .

One thing that was said multiple times by Angelica is that she had no family history of cancer. However, her grandmother had stomach cancer - that is definite family history. Furthermore, I have read that cancer can skip a generation and affect family member of same gender.

This video makes me nervous. I've been diagnosed with IBS. But I had my first iron fusion 1.5 year. I was confused because I was like, how can that even happen, I eat so many iron rich food. Did the fusion anyway. Don't have much of an appetite. Been feeling really nauseous lately and my stomach and bowl movements have been different lately. Got a referral to a gastronologist, has the colonoscopy booked but got made redundant so I cancelled it because I need the savings money for my mortgage but now I'm going to reschedule after watching this video.

Yup happened to me too. No pain nothing just constant constipation for over a year. So my doc recommended a colonoscopy since I am over 55. They discover 5 polyps and 1 early stage 3 cancer at the right side of my intestine. Just went in and operated last week and got discharged yesterday. The doc advised me to heal up and go for my chemo next month.

I'm also exhausted. My doctor took a single bloodtest and then said, nothing can be done. That was it. But I think I'm a long hauler after Covid, so fortunately that isn't life threatening. Thank you for sharing your story.

I was anemic at 42 and having heavy periods. My family doctor knew not to just blame it on the periods. At that time I had no family history YET. I was given an endoscopy and colonoscopy to check for internal bleeding. There was no internal bleeding- it was the heavy periods causing the anemia- BUT I did have polys which were removed at the time of the colonoscopy. The doctor said it was unusual for a 42 year old to have polys. I told my family to get checked. No one did immediately. My father wound up having stage 4 colon cancer. With treatment he was living 5 years until COVID got him at 85. My grandfather died at 94 of colon cancer before my father. My father did not get a colonoscopy even after his father died from it. My sister got checked and polys were found. My brothers have not talked about it with me. At 44 years old I was found to be pre diabetic with an A1c of 5.9. My fasting blood glucose prior to that and even when the 5.9 showed up was ALWAYS normal- like 85. DON’T only rely on a fasting blood glucose. I went low carb at 44 years old and have had blood sugars of 5.1 to 5.5 through the years since- I am now 58. I have had colonoscopies every 5 years since I was 42 and no polys have since been found since I was 42. I believe lowering my A1c eating low carb has helped. Also I got one colonoscopy without sedation since I was concerned about its effect on my cognition. It was only slightly uncomfortable. I wanted to have the colonoscopy again without sedation but couldn’t find anyone in the time frame I needed (my previous doctor had retired).

I don't get you, who looks at someone with cancer as a failure or why couldn't it be bad luck, babies get cancer? Compassion is a fairly natural reaction too. We have a very different view of life.

I'm due for a colonoscopy soon. Got blood coming out, constant tired/exhausted like I've never felt before, pencil thin stools every time I go. Fun stuff...

Did you feel like you needed to poop a lot even though you didn’t need to?

67 year old man here. For at least two months I've had the symptoms of POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) intermittently-shortness of breath, more rapid than normal Resting Heart Rate, crushing fatigue, louder than usual tinnitus, Eustachian Tubes needing lots of popping, brain fog, feeling 'on edge,' upper back of the neck tense and nerves overexcited there, surroundings seeming a bit surreal, etc. Then, added to that for the last month I've had (nonintermittent) GI symptoms of IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome): Noxious-smelling, abundant gas Bloating Frequent loss of appetite resulting in losing 8 lbs. (180 down to 172) Constipation, but often without thick/hard stool Twice used laxative, both times after not going for 3 days 'False alarm' BMs with tiny amount of stool, but gas and some brown goo Queasy tummy and intestines Stool color normal; texture usually 'gobs' or smallish pieces, no visible blood with the stool I feel like I have a permanent case of food poisoning. I've been busy scouting/watching KZfaq videos on IBS and diet/recommendations for that. I tried a probiotic for two weeks that didn't seem to help. I last took an antibiotic in December 2022 (Cipro for 10 days). This past Monday new chiropractic x-rays showed pockets of gas and gobs of stool all through my colon (according to the chiropractor), confirming my symptoms. My pants would alternately fit OK or too tight as the bloating varied. Yesterday I started looking at CRC (Colorectal Cancer) videos and discovered the IBS and CRC symptoms are very similar. My chiropractor will refer me to a Gastroenterologist (GE) next week when I 'give him the word.' My family doctor has a 10-week lead time for appointments just to request a referral from him, so that's a no-go. I don't see as I have any other choice but a colonoscopy from a GE and go from there. Based on how I feel and how suddenly and oddly all of this came on me my guess would be 70/30 odds on it being CRC instead of IBS. The colonoscopy prep will be harsh on my bowel (I know from a previous sigmoidoscopy); the scope will aggravate both my anal hemorrhoid situation and my Chronic Prostatitis (perhaps for months/years longer than my current flare-up), which I also know from past experience; and after whatever surgery is done there will be a fight with the doctor because chemo is statistically poor for positive results plus devastating to experience and destroys the immune system, and in the past five years I've come to prefer natural treatments (here, Carnivora) to allopathic drugs. Try to fight with the allopathic doctor over chemo when you're weak. I know I'm not normal at present, can't eat much, need nutrition again, am still experiencing constipation, and am not getting visibly better after a month of this. I'd rather die in my sleep overnight than face bowel surgery and chemo. I started Carnivora tonight to see if it may give me a head start toward healing. The quickest colonoscopy would be a week and a half after the referral is made next week providing there's a cancellation, but it could be longer. My symptoms relative to CRC are: -change of bowel habits -crushing fatigue-though INTERMITTENTLY -shortness of breath-though INTERMITTENTLY -constipation/bloating/gas -some abdominal pain/low back pain-getting worse over time -marginal nausea some of the time but no vomiting-yet An issue in my case is that I already have Chronic Prostatitis (pain) and POTS-like symptoms (intermittently, but they are debilitating when present). The treatment for the Prostatitis symptoms is ABDOMINAL STRETCHING ROUTINES AND PELVIC FLOOR TRIGGER POINT RELEASES which I need to do every day. If abdominal CRC surgery happens there won't be any more Prostatitis self-treatment for a very long time-OR needed weekly chiropractic visits either. So my situation is further complicated by these other two conditions-neither of which is a GE's purview. Specialists tend to focus on 'their thing' but I have to still live with THREE different conditions if I allow them to do 'their thing.' I'd also have to continue to cook for myself-I live alone plus I'm on the Paleo Diet! so processed foods are OUT-plus my home is a complete mess (no place for a hired caregiver to even sit down) right now and I'm too sick to even begin the sorting/tossing/cleaning process and with a sore abdomen). Very hard to make a decision what to do. It will be very much harder if the colonoscopy result is positive for CRC, but I have that 'deep down inner voice' too, telling me my current condition is serious. I already know it's long-lived. And I've already spent DECADES of my life debilitated by Prostatitis and a CRC surgery would likely make that cindition worse, perhaps permanently so. I'm no longer young and able to heal from ANYTHING so well any more. How does the patient weigh so many variables, factors, and possible outcomes against each other while the specialist is focused on 'their thing?' Quality of life-downright liveability at all-is important too, not just LENGTH of life. How does the weakened patient fight for a natural alternative to chemo with an allopathic doctor who's likely to insist on it being chemo or nothing?

They always give you those damn iron pills.

What culture did you grow up in that people see cancer as a failure???? The pity is more sympathy than anything. Of course there is pity as well because it’s a horrible thing to have. Especially so young. But it’s not a negative pity. It’s not an accusation. IMO I think very few people - VERY FEW - people would think it was a failure to have cancer. And those people are not worth knowing. My mum was NOT a failure for getting cancer at 42 and dying at 44, 35 years ago. It wasn’t something she did or didn’t do. That makes me mad. I had all of those symptoms except blood in my stool. The exhaustion was intense. That was a decade ago. I haven’t had a colonoscopy. My inner voice told me I had something wrong, however I am almost 51 now, so I guess it wasn’t anything serious.

Pretty sure your blood tests were not including cancer markers. These days for some reason doctors don't want to do cancer markers... Even if you ask them. I am still mad at my doctor for this.
