Rounded corners for cropped footage/graphics in Premiere Pro 2021

Premiere Pro 2021 Update!
Learn the new way to add rounded corners or curved edges to cropped video and rectangles in the Essential Graphics panel.
This method can be used to add stylish black bars or a border and will render faster than a track matte key in Premiere Pro.

does this not have the same issues as the first method though? With adding a file into the essential graphics tab you lose the audio? wanting to add this effect to a full timeline so do you think the masking method would be the best way?

Yep, for full editing capabilities, best to use either masking or the above method combined with a track matte key.

You can only use the audio part from a duplicate source

Hi! I was unable to throw in an already edited clip (within the timeline), under the rectangle in the essential graphics section. I'm only able to throw up there the raw footage... Help pls?

Hi, that 'round' feature only exist in 'text' in Essensial Graphic'. Then, if i create new 'Shape' in essensial graphic (not text), there is no 'round' feature. So how to make my shape rounded?

The Corner Radius slider is very new, but the methods in my other videos have been around for a while.

@@ThePremierePro Mp4 file with video and audio. But I got it sorted, I found an effect called roughen corners and it worked quite good

There's a newer way to do this now just by adding a shape and then dragging the white circles near the corners inwards. If you hold down Alt/Option, you can add curves to individual corners rather than all of them.
