As a wife of many many years I can say it still makes me happy to do for my husband (and now almost grown) children. I understand the satisfaction of a clean home and nourishing home cooked meals shared together. It’s a way to show our affection for those we love, and they can take it with them as everyone goes their own way out in the world each day. You are doing a great job as a new wife, and building a beautiful foundation that will last for years to come. God bless!

Just found your videos this evening. The first one was with your lovely Granny making the Holy Smoke Cake, with your Mom. I love your videos! Watching a day in the life of being a new wife was so sweet. It’s great to see a young couple so happy and thoughtful and kind. God bless you both, and Olive and your family. I lost my husband of 51 years, and I miss him everyday. Your videos are calming and enjoyable.

I also wanna see a vlog about what Austin does for you as a husband that makes your life easier, since it brings you so much joy to do things for him. What are his equivalents?

When you love each other, it isn’t about I do this for you, now what are you going to do for me? It’s about the joy you receive in doing things for each other. Most women today can’t imagine receiving joy out of doing things for their husband that they feel he can do himself. It’s just work that they don’t want to do, and so it’s nice to see this old fashioned quality in a girl today.

Hi Cory, Austin, & Olive! I have been married along time, something I like to do for my husband which I learned by watching my mom is lay my husband's clothes out for him & I make him a easy breakfast that he can eat as he drives to work ( he works a little over 1hr away) & I make a lunch for him. My mom would make my dads meals & serve it to him as I do, my dad was a dairy farmer in Vermont. I learned by watching my mom & how to take care of your husband. She was a housewife who babysat from time to time. Anyway Cory my husband & I will sit & eat in front of the TV as well. I serve him & I prepare his meds & give it to him. After we eat I will get some desert for us. Then I clean up & feed our 4 cats. By the time I'm done he is fast asleep in his chair. It's so hard to wake him. We love NCIS, NCIS LA, THE FBI 3 sets of shows. What I do knowing he will probably fall asleep I record them ( we have dish) then on a night I know he won't fall asleep we will watch 1 or 2 depending on how tired he is. When it's just the 2 of you sitting in front of the TV is fine your getting quilty time together & I don't know about you but we will discuss what we're watching. Sometimes we guess who the killer is what's going to happen. It's still a good way to communicate with each other. I'm home all the time because I'm on disability. I have a form of arthritis that keeps me in pain 24/7 so I'm not always able to keep everything tidy like I want to. I do a little bit everyday. Oh once we have our food we either pause the TV or mute it. We pray before we eat. Sometimes we pray before we sit. As I said we have 4 cats ,they know who will cave & thats my husband. 2 will sit & beg 1 is his baby & she knows she has him wrapped around her paw she will sometimes try testing him by trying to dip her paw in his food or trying to get into his drink. She will sometimes lay behind his head & tap him to let him know she is there. So if anyone judges you please ignore them love you sweet one & GOD BLESS YOU 💛💛

Bless your heart! I have systematic lupus so I understand your disability only too well. My grandmother had rheumatoid arthritis and I was amazed with how much she could get done while having so much pain. It takes love and determination and you have both, just as she did. You have my prayers and my admiration. ❤

Such a nice video. You certainly pack a lot into your day. You and Austin (and of course, Olive) are so cute. Thank you for letting us have a glimpse into your life. And I was so surprised when Austin showed the book he was reading. I was like, "Is he talking about Richard Proenneke"? There was a 2003 PBS documentary about Proenneke called "Alone in the Wilderness". It was put together from footage that Proenneke filmed himself. (He lived in his cabin for 30 years). My PBS station played it every year around Christmas. I never missed it. You can go on line to see clips.

Corrie, I enjoyed your video so much. Surprisingly you have the routine I followed when I was newly married. I liked getting up early then and cooking my husband’s breakfast as he enjoyed breakfast before his hour drive to work. I think it is nice that you like to put the house in order before you get out and about before you leave. My Tom and I were married 66 years when he died and it is a lonely place now after almost 12 years. I have moved close to one of my 2 sons and I am almost 84 years old. I love being close to Tim and my daughter-in-love, 2 granddaughters, their husbands and a great grandson. I do have my own home and live about 3 miles from his home. He is retired and is always bringing me food or stopping by since I am not in the best of health. I read a lot and lately have just found your family on UTube. I do enjoy your videos and find it hard to stop once I start watching. You have a lovely family and watching reminds me of my first ten years of life. Those ten years were in Tennessee. We had a country store, gas station and a big garden along with a cow, horse, chickens and pigs. My parents worked so hard and the four children did also. My Dad tended the store, my Mom in the kitchen or garden or store if needed. All four of us children were everywhere. The two oldest had assigned jobs and my younger brother and I usuallly had easier jobs close by our parents. I was four when my little brother was born and I started stocking shelves when I was about five. There was a lot of people in and out of store all day because we were between towns and no other stores close by. A fun time and then everything changed. Our older sister married a man from Texas and moved. We had relatives in Texas and my Dad thought that was where we needed to be. So we moved and the life as we knew it really changed. It was different but better for all of us. We are still in Texas and life is good! Enjoy your life Corrie. I know it will be good because you got a great start. 💕💞💕

What a beautiful video of a day in your life. Starting the day in a calm spirit with the Lord helps the day to go so much better. I struggle with fears & your Bible reading today helped me. I've read those passages for years but somehow they meant more to me today. I don't drink coffee but my hubby drinks a cup every morning. I get it ready the night before & that way all I have to do is press the "on" button in the morning & it's good to go. You two are precious & such a sweet couple. Hugs!

I appreciate the thoughtful way you live, being careful with your money (e.g. making home-made lunch, home-made cleaning products, and just everything else we already know about how you value things). So sweet the way you are with Olive, and how she put her head on your shoulder while y'all sat in chairs. Earlier, I laughed out loud when you panned to Olive (riding shotgun). She looked like a person, eyes on the road, ready to go! IMO you're years ahead so many, for your age, way more wise than I was at 26! THANK YOU, Corie, this was very enjoyable! 💓 🙌🏼

Hey Austin. About the book you're reading, "One Man's Wilderness". Mr. Proenneke also took a Bolens video camera with him and filmed a lot of his life at Twin Lakes Alaska. Another man who visited him periodically also took footage and has made 2 other videos of his day to day life. His life there, from building his cabin all the way to they day he decided he was too old to stay is pretty well documented in thes videos. I have all three and highly recommend them. Especially the 1st one with the same title as the book. Last I checked, they were still available on Amazon and elsewhere online. If you don't mind watching it 10 or 15 minutes at a time, a lot of the video is actually on KZfaq.. it is cut up into smaller sections.

Austin reminds me of my late husband. I think Austin is a real sweetheart but if I am correct he is also a very private person. My husband was not a morning person and I definitely am. I eventually learned to give him a kiss in the morning and let him be until he was awake enough to engage in conversation. That took me a while to figure out because all my life I have always hit the ground running in the morning and could not understand people who don't wake up that way. On the other hand, he was always more awake in the evenings and I was the one who was sleepy. Anyway, as always enjoyed the video!

Tk u for sharing ur daily routine w/ us! It's hard to believe that u & Austin r coming up on ur 1st year anniversary!! Time flies!! I'm w/ Austin....coffee & no food until after 12 noon! I'm a firm believer in rising early, making the bed, cleaning as u go and having a POW (Plan of the week) & POD (Plan of the day).

Congrats Corie and Austin on your new life together, I recently started watching your mothers channel and now yours, you girls have a beautiful family, reminds me of life in Louisiana many many years ago with my great grandparents, I truly enjoy all of your families videos, ps Corie the idea of a video about your home purchase process is a great idea, Im a Real Estate Agent in Houston, Tx and most 1st time home buyers have no idea of how cumbersome the process can be, but the end game is very rewarding! I thank you all for being so open and sharing your life!

Thanx for sharing Corie, I had the same routine for decades when I was an employee. Loved to see your devotional time to the scriptures, starting your day putting God first makes for a better day. I have done my eating in a comfortable chair most of my life. God bless You and Austin and never take your days for granted.😃

You are so incredibly organized. I’m a bit enamored by that, as I am not very organized. My days are a bot all over everywhere. That’s not a great thing, honestly, so I’m gonna get a planner and try to use it as you do. Maybe I’ll use an app for planning. Olive is hilarious and hubby is so charming. You’re so very fortunate. Congratulations to all of you!

Wow so many videos, hard to keep up with you guys! I dont work, just taking care of my grandmother right now, so I can relate to getting to have a puppy follow you around all day and feeling gratitude for having time to cook and clean the house for your husband. I admire how structured you are--that's what I'm working on.
