Your assumption seems to be that their 5 million in assets is just vehicles, real estate and other such possessions. Cash is an asset within total assets. She noted that their assets are in retirement so this implies invested cash in an IRA or 401k but they definitely have other non cash assets given their home is paid for and they have no debt.

What do you mean? You're implying being on the same page is important and that this married couple Is not on the same page yet somehow they have 5 million in assets and no debt. If anything that shows you can become successful with 1 person handling the finances does it not? I'd question myself if I get a literal example of 2 people not on the same page being successful and then begin to use that as an example of how being on the same page is important. What makes this funnier, is that if she simply didn't care or agreed with the husband, they'd still be in the same scenario with 5 million assets and then you'd say, well see, they are on the same page so that's why they are successful LOL The only reason you are saying this is because she wants to do x and he does not want to do x. Do you think people are always going to agree all the time? XD

Doubt you got out with 5 million in assets though. *Eye brow raises". I'm waiting to see where in the video she said she's miserable, he cheated, she hates him, it's a bad marriage or he beats her? Did I miss something? "My husband handles all the financials, and he's being a little stingy with wanting to do more stuff" That's all this video is. if you divorce because of that, you don't understand marriage, nor do you know what it's purpose is. I mean I can tell that from your comment to be honest. Most of us at some point don't understand what marriage is or what to do in it, we think it's dating 2.0. LOL "You got out" says a lot. Sure he could have been horrible, but this simple call and saying she sounds like you when it wasn't even bad suggest something more. You don't "get out" of marriage like some break up or something. For all she knows, maybe they USED to have five million until he lost it all somewhere. Stranger things have happened. It's time to smarten up. If it is "conservatively invested" it could be that it is in bonds, bonds have recently been making 2.75%, and who knows what the financial advisor is making. They might be getting duped on their returns. If I had 5 millions I would get out of the regular stock market and buy preferred shares of some very big financial institutions and utility companies, and live on 5% payout. a payout I know will be there no matter what.

They are likely just old fashioned, which is generally ok if it works for them, but in finances it's dangerous (and obviously no longer ok for her). Her husband should be teaching her to manage it. He may have needed to lead the way but he shouldn't leave her ignorant! Its VERY dangerous on many levels,.. death, physical or mental illness, divorce, scam artists etc. She need to lovingly point out that he is leaving her very vulnerable. Also take your pocket money, learn all you can and budget, manage, and invest it while you try to persuade him to teach you what he knows. If he loves you he will see your effort and be more amenable and if not, you are adding a layer of protection for yourself. PS. Make sure both your names are on all the money, For the same reasons.
