Afzal Khan was a big enemy during that time. He got orders from Adil Shah to kill Shivaji Maharaj because Shivaji's power was increasing. Afzal was smart and strong, and he knew about Shivaji Maharaj's tactical skills. His first move was to destroy temples to disturb Shivaji Maharaj, and he destroyed many temples. But even then, Shivaji Maharaj made decisions calmly. Shivaji knew that Afzal Khan liked to boast about himself. So, Shivaji Maharaj wrote a letter to Afzal Khan pretending to be afraid of him and refused to meet him. Afzal Khan believed that Shivaji Maharaj was scared, so he came down to the base of Pratapgad. This was because once he was at the base, it would be hard for him to escape. Shivaji Maharaj already knew that Afzal Khan was not trustworthy. Before they met, Maharaj hid a secret weapon called "wagh nakha" and wore armor to protect himself. The meeting was set for 2 in the afternoon, so Shivaji Maharaj wouldn't be seen in the sunlight while coming down from the fort. They set up a meeting area at the base of Pratapgad. When they met, Afzal Khan pretended to hug Shivaji Maharaj but suddenly stabbed him with a knife. Thankfully, Shivaji Maharaj's armor kept him safe. Angry, Shivaji Maharaj hit Afzal Khan in the stomach with "wagh nakha," and this caused Afzal Khan's death as his intestines and kidney came out due to the attack.

He was really struggling to explain this incident in hindi otherwise this incident in Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's life is just an example of exemplary planning, patience and detailing... Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has studied every minute detail and personality traits of Afzal Khan and just brilliantly trapped him to do things the way he wanted him to do without Afzals's knowledge... Even Shivaji Maharaj's only 2 bodyguards (as per pact of meeting only 2 personal bodyguards were allowed at the place of meeting) were chosen in such a way that they will counter the bodyguards of Afzal Khan... The way he dressed the stealth weapon that is वाघ नख or tiger's claws was specifically designed in such a way that when the hand is closed it only looked like diamond or precious stones wore in hand as a ring... He wore iron mesh at back to protect himself from back stabbing (He just knew the nature of Afzal Khan) Maharaj simply planned everything so perfectly that location, time everything favoured him against all adversaries and limitations of his low number of soldiers... This story has inspired so many lives in every aspect of life whenever one feels devastated and want to give up he or she should just read this one incident and will get motivated to do impossible... शिवरायांचे आठवावे रूप शिवरायांचा आठवावा साक्षेप शिवरायांचा आठवावा प्रताप भूमंडळी जय जिजाऊ... जय शिवराय... जय शंभुराजे...

Buddy, let them continue in the flow. Your unnecessary interruptions kills the narration. IPL example is so out of context that narrater needs to start a fresh. Listening is a beautiful skills btw😊

yes, it's a good observation by you and i agree. the guest is an expert and his understanding of his own domain need not be dumbed down by the host with unnecessary and irrelevant metaphors like the ipl. Viewers/listeners are intelligent enough to understand the gist of things. that was also a bit condescending of the host to interrupt the expert like that and add his own silly commentary that no one asked for. also, one shouldnt expect a non-native Hindi speaker to have native level Hindi if one doesn't speak even a full sentence of Marathi themselves despite being a "Mumbaikar" all their life. The host should be reminded to do less shanpatti and have more humility.

If you are telling stories of Chatrapati Shivai Maharaj to making young generation aware about his work then dont tell incomplete story, don't forget to mention 'Jeeva Mahal' , he was Maharaj's one of the trusted mavla , he was that only person who was allowed to be there in the meeting as per Afzal's conditions. He helped Maharaj to escape from Afzal Khans grip. That's why one qoute became famous ' hota Jeeva mhanun vachla Shiva'

As everyone knows Our Raje was not that heighted and was short and all his enemies were Height.. so Raje Made his Sword blade longer which could benefit him .. Also Wagh nakh ( tiger claw ) came into existance in during Afzal khan death as the Condition of meeting was no one will carry weapons with them but Maharaj knew Afzal is strong than him and is here to kill and not to capture.. so wagh nakh came to existance which from above look as if Some one is wearing rings in finger but is sharp and deadly towards palm.. MAJHYA RAJA CHI BUDDHI AND SHAURYA KAMAALICHA... CHATTRAPATI SHIVAJI MAHARAJ KI .... JAII... JAI BHAVANI.. JAI SHIVAJI...

Just like in the movie 300. If you make an army of lakhs come through a norrow passage in a valley, the numbers become insignificant. You have to deal with only a handful of soldiers that can pass through that narrow passage at a time. Guirella Warfare is when you surprise your enemy and attack and gather their weapons and resources. As you grow stronger slowly and steadily you are chipping away at the power of enemy and the enemy becomes weak. US thought Vietnam woould be a piece of cake but the locals knew the deadly conditions and terrain better. Always brains over raw strength. In war just having more soldiers does not guarantee victory.

Not calling the word Chatrapati doent make any difference to the Great Shivaji Raje and the History created by him. instead of fighting for that word people should take some Qualities from The Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.. fighting for the rights, swarajya, respectiny women, helping, bring our people togather, etc
