Since forever, I've always thought of Karma as being bad. You do something bad, something bad is going to happen to you. You do something hurtful to someone, something bad is going to happen to you. When Taylor announced the title of this song, I couldn't wait, thought this was going to go after all the evil that has been done to her and just be this dark sinister song, never ever thinking, Karma is also good. You do good things, good things will happen to you. Never once did I ever think Karma could be good. Damn, blondie is always teaching me new thoughts, new words (I'm always Googling her words) and new ways of thinking.

Same! I love that it can be about the good and keeping your side of the street clean bc that’s all we can do. We can only control how we handle things or react, everything else is out of our hands. Such a good new perspective.

In Spider Boy, I believe it's about both of them. And the initials for Spider Boy are also the initials of their names: Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta.

It's scooter braun and if you look back at the chorus, It has references of justin bieber and ariana grande's songs, 2 of scooter's biggest artists.

I think what’s also so powerful about this song is how she represents karma while I’m not saying it’s a think piece on karma as a concept but like karma comes in the smallest of ways to people not just these huge events

Loved your vid as always. I enjoy analysing lyrics, but watching your vids is wonderful because you always provide more depth, insight, empathy, and sometimes a completely different interpretation than mine! Love your fringe! This song makes me want to dance and it's so fun, but I'm not gonna lie I think the focus on Karma and wanting ppl to get their justice for doing wrong makes me think it's a little petty. Don't get me wrong, I want ppl to get their justice and all, but it's not something that helps me sleep better or "a relaxing thought" or a "god" (altho I recognize that it's a god for some ppl-that's what I'm saying is wrong). I love TS, but this comes off like, I can't wait till they get whatever comes to them.
